I've broken out with personal care products as well. Just thought I had sensitive skin. Even though I don't have the sensitive skin type symptoms. Broke out with Olay products too. Growing up the only thing I could use was Dove bar soap. Johnson's doesn't bother me though. Never has. A lot of the sensitive skin stuff I'll have probs with itching and rashes. I'm even allergic to Phisoderm. Don't know if it's a gluten thing or an actual skin allergy thing. My skin is weird.

I never even thought about personal care products. I was just diagnosed with gluten intolerance/sensitivity last January so I'm still learning. Maybe that explains why I broke out in a rash every time I used Johnson's Baby Shampoo on my daughters. Neither my doctors or I could figure it out at the time (they are 22 and 21 now so it was a long time ago). I will have to start looking at those products, too.
Just like you I learned the hard way to start reading all products that I buy. I even take my shampoo to a beauty saloon so that I don't have to worry about having sores on my head from their shampoo and I also learned that the next time they want to put a shine on my hair to say no. I had sores for over two weeks. So be careful too. I know how you feel.
If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit.
