We went to Fort Worth for New Years Eve. Special meal at the Edelweiss, fantastic German restaurant and a magnificent evening at the Symphony complete with Auld Lang Sybe and balloons dropping.
I planned in advance that I was going to eat what I wanted since a great German restaurant is hard to find in our neckof the state.
I had potato pancakes as an appetizer. A glass of white wine. for my main dish I did not want plain old steak and everything was either heavy on the cream sauces or pork which I can't eat so I chose the Chopped Beef with onions and mushrooms. Well it wasn't a patty, it was more like a mini meat loaf and the sauce was out of this worls. It came with German fried potatoes, sauerkraut and red cabbage.
So it was not gluten free but I really didn't have too bad a reaction and it was worth it.
I don't plan on making it a habit and back on track yesterday and today.
