i dont think ive had steel cut oats so i cant compare but i love buckwheat for breakfast. i get the raw/white(as opposed to toasted/kashi)kind. it cooks really quickly and holds its shape so its kinda like tapiocaish, it also gets REALLY big so you dont have to make much. i usually boil it then poach and egg on top, favorite breakfast. hope you enjoy:)
I am a HUGE lover of oatmeal, and have now found uncontaminated oat (yay!). But I also picked up some buckwheat (Bob's red mill). It looks a bit like steal cut oats, so I'm wondering if it has a similar texture and taste? I am hoping to try it tomorrow morning for breakfast!
