Any thing with a sauce on the menu and always ask if it has flour or anything that you don't want to eat. Just tell them you are allergic to it and they will help you.

You could just do the buffet and eat the salad (use your own utensils). I've gone to Souper Salad before and not had a problem with individual buffet items (the usual fare: salad greens and veggie toppings, whole fruits etc). It's nice to get out and enjoy the scenery though. :)

Thanks Dot.

Maybe I should just eat before I go, that was my initial reaction to eating there. I did not think about the pans and utensils being contaminated. It is just one of those big buffets, not my type of place at all.

I will call and ask for the manager. I have a feeling that it is not the type of place that will accommodate someone with an allergy.

Have a great weekend!

emoticon Hi Kat -

The best thing to do is to do your homework first - I guess you are by starting here, huh? Well, I always visit the restaurant's site and check for an "allergy" menu. This site didn't have one that I could see. You could contact headquarters and hope for a reply - but they might also refer you to the manager at the restaurant you'll be going to. That's your best bet. There's a store locator on the website.

I hope you have a good dinner. (I've not eaten at Golden Corral, so I couldn't say specifically what to have. Re: the gluten aspect: make sure you ask for your food to be prepared in clean pans with clean utensils - even the meat probe should be clean if they use one).

Hi everyone! I am new here and to being gluten free as well as avoiding soy, nuts and seafood (eek).

Golden Coral - big buffet - is where I am going for dinner Saturday night (my husband has a work thing there). Just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas about what to avoid, that I might assume is safe.

Thanks in advance!!
