Yes, I did get weak and shaky. I had some rice and fruit for breakfast and some celery, lowfat cheese and fruit for break. I don't have diabetes, yet anyway.
I think that you are correct that I need to add some more protein to my first meal.

Thanks for the info

LouLou

A lot of gluten free products are much lower in fiber, protein, and sometimes fat than whole wheat products. I found I had to really go out of my way to eat protein, fat, and fiber at breakfast when I went gluten free. Gluten free toast isn't enough to hold me through till lunch. Now I make sure to have fruit, some nuts, maybe even beans with breakfast, and if you eat meat I would suggest getting some of that too. I have really started eating big breakfasts, 500 calories, but anything to stop the blood sugar crash, the irritable cranky yucky feeling.

You didn't get the shakes or sweating or feeling funny? I think that is what my husband says happens when his sugar gets low (he's a diabetic).

If you tell God no because He won't explain the reason He wants you to do something, you are actually hindering His blessing. But when you say yes to Him, all of heaven opens to pour out His goodness and reward your obedience. What matters more than material blessings are the things He is teaching us in our spirit.

I have had some experiences with low blood sugar in the past. Today I crashed very quickly and did not see it coming right before lunch. I had a good breakfast and snack. I will see my doctor but was wondering if anyone else had this problem who is gluten free and what usually causes it to happen when I am eating healthy and staying away from bread and such. I have been eating rice.

Thanks,
LouLou
