hi everyone Well I started back on Sparks May 6th,2008 and as of today I have lost 20 lbs. It has been a challenge but I've been keeping my calories between 1200 and 1500 and I try to walk an hour per day. That was the hard part I was always trying to to find someone to baby sit for me until I figured out my daughter could drive her little Jeep it helps me walk a little faster and now I can go walk when ever I want to and were both happy doing something we both want to do. I think exercise is the key to weight lose. I wish I would have started sooner.

Hello Everyone! I am 34 years old and just had a hysterectomy 3 weeks ago today. So far everything is going great. I too am worried about weight gain. I have read that most women do gain and that it is even harder to get rid of it after the hysterecomy. I am trying to eat right. I can't exercise yet, but I have a stronger motivation to try to lose weight now then I did before. I hope everyone is doing great!

Welcome Suzie. I had a hysterectomy in June of '05 too. I have found that I now have a stomach when I didn't before. I always gained weight evenly and now I have this big belly. I hate it but it's not going down as quickly as I'd like. Yes, this sure is work!

The longest journey starts with one step.

hey, well I had a full hysterectomy for the exact same reason. However since I started back on sparks again I have lost 10 pounds. It takes alot of determination and discipline for me.

HI, I can really relate to everything you just said. my metabolism is shot to. I'm using a product called Natural Relief. I ordered it off of T.V. I'M just now starting to really push myself and start walking everyday. its harder than it use to be. SOme days I look in the mirror and wonder whose body That is. BUt I'm in a better state of mind and determined to lose some pounds.

Welcome! I tell people I had my metabolism surgerically removed! But I also used to be full on very little (to the point where I felt it was a problem) now I can eat and eat and eat without feeling full, so that makes watching what I eat a new challenge. So I guess now we have to try harder, but we can do it!

What products are you using for hot flashes, if you don't mind sharing?

just found this tonight I'm glad there are others out there like me I had my hysterectomy June of 2005 and started putting on weight Quite rapidly in fact about 40 lbs I even questioned the Dr. about this, I was wanting to know if this was normal. he said no, I need to exercise more and watch what I eat. which is right but now I see so many more women with this same problem. I was on HRT for almost 2 years then decided to use natural products which work almost as well, sure helps with hot flashes and insomnia and probably my moods having a hysterectomy changed my life.
