You have a point... it is very crowded! I've seen a few out earlier in the morning that have a decent speed (you have to get up early tho' and how often does that really happen in VEGAS?)... but the runners later in the day more than likely just want to be seen in the cute little spandex pants that the rest of the world would not wear outside...

I have concluded that the Vegas strip runners must be vanity runners. The sidewalks are very crowded and so full of crosswalks/escalators that it would be difficult to get anything beyond a good walk out of it.
I have gone for jogs while vacationing in vegas, but i tend to use the stairwells and back parking lots/garages of the hotel to get an actual workout.

During vegas trips, I usually put on few lbs probably due to alcohol consumption and buffets which I just do not engage in rest of the year.

I've seen those people... I always wondered about them! I'm too self-conscious to run in front of people... but skipping the cabs all week and walking worked for me... I actually lost on my last trip, saw more and saved money (on the cabs anyway)...

I USUALLY GAIN WHEN IN VEGAS DUE TO THE DRINK-EAT CRAP-DRINK-EAT CRAP-SLEEP (REPEAT DAILY) ROUTINE, BUT WHEN WE GO IN MARCH I HOPE THINGS WILL BE DIFFERENT. SOMETIMES WHEN I GO I SEE PEOPLE JOGGING THE STRIP...MAYBE THAT WILL BE ME THIS TIME?!?

Walk everywhere, use the pool and do yoga in your room. If you're a high roller, you could talk them into waiving the $25.00 (average) fitness facility fee.

One pleasant surprise during my last trip in Nov was the improved conditioning due to those regular cardio exercise. I could effortlessly walk up and down the strip (Excalibur to Mirage and back) without feeling sore in my legs. This was not the experience during last few yrs. Well the bad part is it takes more intense exercise to stay in shape. I had actually put on 3 lbs during 1 wk of stay but it came off within 1 wk of getting back to regular routine.

I always try to eat healthy while there (cept for those darn slushy drinks!!)

I walk a ton bring my resistance bands in the suitcase, if they have a gym, I'll use it.. but I try and hit the pool!

I can do this, I am doing this, because I CAN!

It is great to know you actually loose weight at Vegas. I too try to eat breakfast early, have lunch buffet, walk a lot and have couple of snacks.

Walk everywhere!Swim in the Hotel Pools.I usually eat at one buffet a day, and eat small snacks the rest of the day.It works for me.I usually lose 1-4 pounds during my stay.
