I think the new "Bugs" are cute too. The girl next door to me has a lime green one with flowers painted on it. Its adorable. Who says flower power is out?

Not a thing! An abboration (spelled wrong?), a fluke, a "whatever" and a thing-a-ma-jig, or some such stuff! Bottom line, it's back, and not with any help from cable techs. Heehee...I watched for gremlins, but none showed up. Since we had a few power outages throughout the day, too, at times different from the online outages, I just think
everything was overloaded.

Thanks for asking!!

You mean "Herbie"? Yeah, they're called bugs. Or Beetles. Course, these days a VW doesn't look like it's former self. It's finally had an update! But to me, they're all the same; a bug is a bug is a bug!

Hey Bee, did his Opal look like a mini corvette? I drove an Opal GT for years. It was yellow and you had this stick lever to flip over the headlights on. It was just a two setter. But the thang could drive forever on a tank of gas. But it was a lemon and always needed repair.

You know, what I can't for the life of me understand is, WHERE are REAL musicians and bands now that CAN SING!

I hate what's out there to listen to! Brittany/Fergie
oh heck, I can't even name half of them. One by one, all the good ones are gone or going, and it's soooo sad!

My Mom is a Clay Aiken groupie, at the ripe young age of 76! Yep, her and the group she belongs to gos to all of his concerts that they can, even slept in a park in New York City for one concert he had, I think the year before last. One year she was on television, with her adorable hat with the big, yellow, daisy on it, I think it was the Good Morning America Show.

He's not bad, neither is Josh Groban. I just wish there was more to choose from.

What a Wacky twisted turn that conversation took! lol
Well since ya'll started it, my first car was a 69 baby blue Nova. No ac/no radio. My DH and I were dating then (highschool sweethearts) and he had installed an 8 track in his 69 Opal Cadet. His favorite tape was Creedence Clearwater Revival. Wow! That was a while ago.

My puter is working for the moment, I might add, much better than it had been yesterday. And yes, Bee, I forgot about that lunar eclipse we had, that may even be why we also kept having brief power outages thoughout the day. All in all, it was a strange day!

Pacer? Pinto? My favorite older car was my robins egg-blue Maverick. No A/C (who needed it in the Pocono Mountains?) Had a radio, though, and my baby daughter and I sang our lungs out on our way home from work/daycare. Our favorite song was "You And Me Against The World" by Helen Reddy (http://www.geocities.com/bjaes.geo/lyrics
/youandme.htm).
and "Send In The Clowns" by, I want to say, Judy Collins?
ightmusic/sendintheclowns.htm). Her daddy had left me when I was pregnant with her, so it truly was just her and I.

I'm sure that lil blue thing couldn't compare with ya'lls, but it got me through some years, let me tell ya. Even rolled the darn thing in a snowstorm, but walked away from the wreck basically uninjured.
They fixed it, as it came to $200.00 away from being totalled (INSURANCE COMPANIES! GRRRRR...).

Then a new marriage and a move to Florida, many trips home to Pa to visit, Orlando to Disney World, hauling kids back and forth to school, outings, etc, and ya know what finally got to Ole Bessie? The SALT! Yeah, 4 years of being bombarded by salty wind, it finally dwindled to rusty strips of metal hanging precariously on it's frame! Well...that's an exaggeration...but you get the picture! So, I said a fond farewell to the ole gal.

Now, me and my minivan are very best of friends!

But those were the good old days.

I had the 8 track player. Loved those cassettes!

I thought the Pacer was a great car. Lots of head room and space and no hidden views. Jeez, I never thought about it getting hot or warm inside. But that makes a lot of sense though. My first car didn't have a/c either and I didn't know any better, driving with the window down was my a/c. My kids wouldn't know how to put up/down a window in those cars. Sigh . . . yes they were the good ol' days. Did anyone have an eight track player?

We had a blue pacer after we sold the gremlin. It looked like the car from "wayne's world" (or so my kids told me. I liked the pacer too. The only problem with it was my husband wanted to save money, so we got a standard, instead of automatic transmission. That was one heavy car and I had to do battle with it to turn the wheel. We also didn't opt for air conditioning or a radio (all standard on cars now, but options then). The pacer, as you may recall, was like a big glass bubble and that car got hot--fast. I carried around a battery operated tape player with a recorded radio program because we had no radio. After a while, I just sang to myself. Those were the good ol' days? I love my CD player and stereo system in my current minivan.

Same here. My computer has been freezing up, and taking a long time to access and enter my food journal, and many parts of the SP program. We thought it was the phone line running on the same frequency as the On-line.

Lauren,
Must be sunspots or something. I've been having issues with mine today as well. I keep getting error messages or my computer crashes.

Hey Guys,

I'm having major online problems, don't know what's causing it, can't find it, someone else is coming out tomorrow to try and run it down. I wanted to let you know if I'm not on, why. It comes in and out, and since my phone is also through my cable, I'm not a happy camper!

Hope everyone is doing great. Hopefully will get to talk more later after they get this fixed.

Lauren
