One of the members of another team that I belong to (if I understood them correctly) actually contacted the Leslie Sansone people for information on the specifics of her sessions in regards to milage and time, so we would know how to calculate it. They were told that every one of her short sessions is equal to a 15-minute mile.

So to be able to calculate that in your Fitness Tool you would click Add Cardio, then click Browse, then on the pull-down menu, choose Walking/Running, click Browse again, and in that pull-down menu, click Walk A 15 Minute Mile. In the box where it says How Long enter 15 for every 1 Mile session you do of hers. Click Add Exercise and it should enter those totals into your daily Fitness Tools totals. I hope this helps. Give a holler if it doesn't.

Lauren

I count it as aerobics. If I jog (boosted walk), I count it as High impact, otherwise, low impact. I tend to "boost" whenever the music beat is fast enough for me to do so because--well, I guess because I can. You could also probably count it as walking--figure out the MPH by how many miles you walked in the DVD but I think it is closer to aerobics than actual walking.

Wow, you guys are fast! Thanks for the quick helpful responses:) Sounds like something even I can do, haha! The last thing I want is my exercise to get to be a rut, so I'm ready for some new stuff. I'm going to look for her tomorrow. Thanks again!

Well, I have a great suggestion for you. Many of our group use the Leslie Sansone "Walk Away The Pounds" DVD series. It's low impact, not complicated, and can be done in the comfort of your own home, right in front of the A/C and the television, and she's a fantastic instructor. She's very down to earth, so super pleasant to listen to, and the time that you're doing the routine flies by!

If your city has Comcast as your television provider, they have her DVD's in Comcast On Demand. So then you can do them for free. If not, Walmart is where I've gotten my tapes, and they're very reasonable. The most expensive one I've gotten was $14.98, and that one came with the stretch resistance band that she uses in some of her routines.

Hope this helps!

Lauren

Try Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. I am a total klutz and literally trip myself when I walk. I will trip over cracks in sidewalks and pebbles. I can do Leslie Sansone. It is not complicated at all. I borrow programs from my Library before shelling out the money and Leslie's were the ones I chose.

I was thinking of maybe trying something new. I have a recumbent bike at home, and 3 days a week I go to cardiac rehab where I use a treadmill and bike, weights etc. But for home, I would like something new. It's too hot here to do much outside, at least it is for me:P So does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not real quick to learn anything complicated:D
Also, if this was posted somewhere and I missed it, my apologies for a repost! Thanks much:)
