Today it is very, very hot. Sunny and sticky too. It is, however a beautiful, seasonable day.

It's actually 'cold' today - 67 degrees! It's supposed to be 80 degrees, but I don't think it's going to make it. It's rainy today, but I walked out to the mail since it hadn't come either of the two times yesterday I went out for it.

The rest of the week is supposed to be hot and humid, with rain through the first half of the week.

We shall see what we shall see. I was once told that rain is 'liquid sunshine'. We'll see about that too.

Hello everyone,

It's a beautiful day here in Sacramento. I think it may even dip below 100 today so that really makes me happy. Can't complain though...this summer is mild compared to last. I'm just being lazy today..haven't done a thing yet, lol! That's another reason it's a beautiful day! I'm doing my 2-mile brisk walk now and sweating like a pig but I don't care! It feels so good to be active and actually look forward to moving. Never knew I could be doing this. I haven't missed a day walking since July 1, so I'm just going to keep going as long as I can!

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things. Phil4:8

Hang in there, one day at a time. I hate it when health issues stop progress in it's tracks, but the good part is that, sooner or later, you get the chance to get back up on the horse. Your pictures are amazing! You look great!

Congratulations...you've come a long way!

Have a good Sunday,
Lauren

Well, just when things were going better and I was able to walk do other exercises...BOOM! The EBV flare-up, etc. hit! I was down for a good week.

Okay, back to it for me! Slowly but surely I shall persevere!

Okay, I've done my exercising for the day. Errands have been run and the "chores" are done for the day. The meals were fixed, consumed, and out of the way. David's at work, and I have 7 LONGGGGGG hours staring me smack dab in the face. Good grief!! I'm bored outta my skull. I gotta figure out something worthwhile to do with all the hours. Television is out, hate it most of the time, all caught up on my reading, yard work is done (not that I could do it anyway, but...), jeepers, some people would kill for that much free time, here I am complaining.

Here's a 3'rd member to add to the Fibromyalgia list. Mine was diagnosed by Shands and Mayo Clinic back in the late 80's, when they didn't know too much about it, and thought it was a disease "all in the head." Thank God those days are over with. The SSRI's are helpful with Fibro. It takes some getting used to, that's for sure.

I have fibromyalgia too. The humidity, especially high dewpoints with the heat zaps my energy levels as well. I don't havce air conditioning so I use multiple fans and try to stay hydrated. I also do my exercise as early in the day as I can drag my wretched body out of the bed or in the evening as it cools a bit.

I've been having difficulty with Fibromyalgia, am still going through an Epstein-Barr Virus flare-up, and the humidity has been holding me back as well. I'm doing what I can to 'stay off the couch' but keeping moving is giving me trouble too. Blah. Where's the 'Happy Medium'when you need her? Oh, well. Today's another day, and I'll give it another go.

In Michigan, it's cool-ish at night here, and currently hot and humid during the day. It seems like it's too early for it to be this cool at night - especially for the crops - and I'm hoping it will warm up *just a bit*. As for the day, I would like a break from the humidity for my health.

We have weather like that in Massachusetts too. Seemed we skipped fall and went straight to winter and then skipped spring and went right to summer. We had a freeze in June and t-shirt weather through January and then it suddenly changed to more "seasonable" weather. Today was a picture perfect day--much improved.

We have had some absolutely wonderful days here in WI. A week ago it was hot and humid. SO we are enjoying the weather. Even able to open windows at night. YEAH! It's been good for walking outside.

Thunder and lightning here in the afternoon again ut it was nice before and after. I got some swimming in before the storms and some biking after and some window shopping in between. A great day and lots of fun.

Hi everyone,

We're having a very quiet day here today. Lauren feels better than she has, the antibiotics are giving some relief, so we're enjoying it. The weather is horrid, started out nice and pretty, then the usual flashing and booming has rolled in. I'm going to get some reading in, and I think Lauren is going to do some lap-quilting. I hope all are having a nice, calm, and happy day.

Talk to ya'll later,

It's hot and sticky here but that is typical weather as is the thunder I am hearing in the distance. It already poured earlier in the day and it's threatening to do so again. So much for the additional bike ride tonight.

It was a very hot and very sticky day. It rained for a little bit in the afternoon but all it did was make it stickier as soon as the sun came out. Oh well, I guess a daily sauna provided free by nature is a "perk" of summertime. emoticon

It was a warm day here with threats of severe storms. We have had these watches and warnings for 3 days. And all we get is a 10 minute rain.

David I'm glad Lauren is home at least for awhile, I know i can rest easier in my own home. And you all were able to be together for awhile.

It was beautiful most of today until just before 7pm--then we got one big, windy thunderstorm. It blew through pretty fast but the trees were taking a beating. Lots of leaves and pine cones are down. All quiet now again.
David, I'm glad Lauren is home--even if just to see the surgeon. I'm sure she is more comfortable in surroundings that are non-medical.

IT'S REALLY A BEAUTIFUL SUMMER DAY HERE, NOT TOO HOT, NOT MUGGY, JUST REMINDS ME OF SUMMER DAYS WHEN I WAS A KID. I'M GETTING READY TO LEAVE FOR WORK AFTER HAVING LUNCH WITH OUR SON AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW. THEY'RE LEAVING FOR AMSTERDAM, HOLLAND, WEDNESDAY MORNING. LAUREN'S HOME (TO SEE SURGEON THURSDAY), SO IT WAS NICE FOR US ALL TO BE ABLE TO SEE THEM BEFORE THEY LEAVE.

It was pretty nice in the morning but come afternoon, the dark clouds rolled in and the sky opened up. It's been pouring for a couple of hours. I thought it was going to let up but it hasn't and I can hear the thunder coming again so round two or three or four (lost count) is on the way. It's better than snow!

IT'S WARM HERE, DOESN'T LOOK LIKE IT'S GOING TO STORM, BUT LATER ON WILL TELL. USUALLY BY THE TIME I HIT THE 4'TH FLOOR AT WORK, EVERYTHING BREAKS LOOSE, AND I GET A SPECTACULAR HIGH-RISE VIEW OF "LIGHTNING FIREWORKS."

GOING TO SPEND TIME WITH LAUREN TOMORROW, AND THEN MAY PLANT SOME BUSHES IN LATE EVENING. A FRIEND OF MINE IS BRINGING ME SOME PAPAYA TREES, THAT SHOULD GIVE US MATURE FRUIT NEXT YEAR IF THEY TAKE GOOD NOW.

Hey Everyone, I hope you all had a safe and pleasant day. Town around here today was quiet, until the fireworks started going off...but even that's tapering off now. I only hear a few off in the distance. It was an off-again, on-again, rainy day, much like across the country, but maybe that kept the usual traffic increases down to a minimum, hopefully keeping everyone safe.

Have a good night, all!

Oh my...today could have been better...but then...it could have been worse, too! I guess that's what I'll focus on. I'm hoping that as the evening continues, I'll feel well enough to get in some Leslie Sansone exercising, or else I won't have done anything for today. Wish me luck...I'm gonna need it.

Ohhh...gosh, Sherry, please let us know how he does. I hope it's as you say, a false alarm, and we'll be praying for you both. The EKG and cardiac enzymes are a good indication of what's going on, so I'm glad they were good. I hope he does well on his stress test. We'll be thinking about you.

My "side-tracked" was all of that activity AFTER we got home from the gym! Before I knew it evening was upon us and the pool was closed! But that's okay, while I was whirling my way through my housework, David got to watch upteen different episodes of the "Andy Griffith" show. They had some kind of marathon of shows on. With his work schedule, he doesn't get to watch alot of tv, so I was happy that he was enjoying it so much!

Take care of yourself and check in when you're able, and let us know how he is.

It's 12:24 A.M and I need to get to bed-but just wanted to check in real quick cuz I probably won't get a chance tomorrow-My Hubby is in the hospital. He had bad chest pain this afternoon and has a BAD cardiac history, so after watching him awhile I took him in. He had open heart-5 bypasses, an aneurism repair and a valve replacement in 1995, so we have to be very careful. He has false alarms sometimes and I think this is one-but the doctors get really worried, too, and err on the side of caution. His EKG looked ok and his enzymes good-but they wanna do a stress test tomorrow anyway. So, he's in tonight.
But anyway, I may disappear again-wanted to let you know.
Lauren-you said "hee, hee" 'bout your "side-tracked" self today and the pool---HOPE THAT MEANS something REALLY good came along INSTEAD! emoticon Ni-night,

Hey, Happy Belated Birthday, Sherry! I'm really glad that you had such a nice time! Don't worry about the 3/4 pound, it will melt off before you know it, and then some! Outback is a great restaurant...I love their bread and salmon...oh yeah, and those crazy onion things! Yummm...been about 2 years since we've been there. You deserved a special day!

What are you talking about me, gal, you did GREAT this week, too! Getting in the pool afterwards sounds awesome. We were going to try for the pool today, but...Heehee...I got sidetracked. emoticon

I don't know how many, IF any, days like this I'll be able to do, but, WOW, it was a good one!

Have a good night...and you're right...I'm going to sleep good for a change!

M-Y G-O-O-D-N-E-S-S, L-A-U-R-E-N!!!! emoticon I's EXHAUSTED JUST "READING" THAT!!!!! emoticon HOW'D 'dju DO that???!! Sure glad you're feeling GOOD today, Friend! Bet you'll sleep GOOD tonight!!! emoticon
My day is really slow today-guess I'm pretty done in from yesterday. It was my Birthday, and it was SUCH A NICE one for me. My youngest son came from 45 miles away with his Girlfriend---I haven't worn makeup for over 20 years-she helped me pick some and we did it together, that's what Rick wanted to get me for my birthday-he knows how much better I feel about myself and how things have changed...I polished my nails for the first time in about as long, too! I always have long, pretty shaped nails-but didn't bother polishing---it felt GOOD to do both.
Last week, I went to the Wellness Center and did my full workout for about 45 minutes 3 days in a row---and two of those I also got into the pool when I was done and JUST ENJOYED that, as well. Both are a bit of a push for me-so to do those things felt GOOD. I did water exercise when I was in the pool, as well. BUT---I somehow managed to GAIN 3/4 lb this week when I had been SOOOOOOOOO GOOD---I honestly thought I'd lose about 5 lbs!!!---I had been especially careful because I knew I planned to NOT be good last night for my Birthday Dinner. We went to Outback Steakhouse and it was WONDERFUL! I "could have" made better choices but had decided to just let myself have that day. I SOOOOO also want to get under the 300 mark, too, tho!!! RIGHT BACK AT 'EM WITH ME!!!
Lauren---again---SO HAPPY FOR YOU---What a day saying "YEA!!!!!" TO LIFE!!!! Sherry

Only reason I left was because my hubby YANKED me outta there...but I got him back. I then went grocery shopping and got all next weeks bought, home, and put away. Oh yeah, heeheehee, then I vacuumed the whole house. He thinks I've lost my mind. Hmmmmmm... emoticon ...NAH...JUST FEEL SOOOOO GOOD!

BOY, I HOPE EVERYONE ELSE IS HAVING A FABULOUS SATURDAY!

I'm sure everyone is looking forward to the end of a long work week. I know we are. I didn't feel fantastic today...bummer...but we went to the gym anyway. I just don't want to get into the habit of lightly tossing away exercising if I'm not in "tip-top" shape! And I'm glad that we went. Tomorrow, we're thinking SERIOUSLY about going to the pool.

I actually fell asleep before 10:30 last night and got to sleep until 3 am before hubby called me. Then I went right back to sleep when I got home for about another 3.5 hours. So I actually got 8 HOURS SLEEP last night, yeah!!!

Ughhh...I'm tired. I can't say that I've had a bad day, per say, but I can't say that it was terrific, either. David's shift has changed for a short time, and it's knocking the tar out of us...my sleep cycles are shot...I don't know how he even functions. I'll be soooo glad when it goes back to normal...if SHIFT WORK...BLEAH...can ever be called normal. Personally, I think it's for the birds!

Lauren is not a nutritionist (yes her name is Lauren also! lol). She is just trained in nutrition counseling along with being a fitness trainer. I figure she knows what she is talking about since I can see that she is very healthy herself. She is one of the sweetest people I have met in the fitness industry.

That's great, Sue! My experiences with a nutritionist years ago wasn't as positive as yours. Course, I went into the thing, sent there by my doctor, with an attitude! That didn't help matters any. Then, when she mapped out a sandwich plate with an ounce here and an ounce there, to comprise a meal, well...we parted ways! emoticon

Thank God I found SP...I've ate more real food than on any other "diet" that I've ever been on!

Nutrition counseling was great! She had me write down all the food I eat on a normal day. Since I have been working on my eating habits she didn't have to "tear apart" my choices much. She wants me to track in a journal my daily food and exercise and then she'll go over it with me next time. She gave me some stuff to read, but not a lot. She said I'm probably already familiar with it.

I slept great, once I went to bed. lol

Don't you HATE it when boss's do stuff like that? My daughter had one that (until she put her foot down) had all kinds of crazy personal stuff he'd want done. It used to drive her NUTS! emoticon

Work was crazy today! On top of wild things happening I had to help my boss with personal stuff, looking up phone numbers for dentists and orthodontists! (I wonder what he has a wife for?!) Hubby didn't go to work so decided to burn some stress by working out at the gym on my lunch break, then went back later since I had an appointment with the trainer for nutrition counseling. So 60 minutes of workout today. Hopefully I'll fall asleep fairly quickly when I get up there. At least I don't need to pick up hubby tonight!

Well, guys, how are all of you doing? WOW, did ya'll notice that we have 8 members already? COOL...
emoticon

Well, Monday is done and over with, and mine went pretty good. I hope everyone elses did too! I got in 2.25 miles today, part of it at the gym, the rest of it in front of my television with a Leslie Sansone DVD.

I tried a new machine at the gym, but...heehee...
only lasted on it for 3 minutes! Smarty pants David went 15 minutes! I think I better stick to the treadmill!

Gonna head for the hay. David just came in from work and his shift for this week is an oddball, so we're gonna turn in and get some extra shut-eye!

Night all,

Yeahhh...I was really happy that he did! He is a big teddy bear. And he is the apple of the grandbabies eyes...their Poppa.

I'm so sorry about your daughter-in-law's situation. She'll be in our prayers, with all of you. I just read of a similar situation in one of the Women's magazines that I picked up at the grocery store on the way to check-out. They found the situation with the woman because of the pregnancy, and it turned out wonderfully in the end for BOTH mother and baby. So that's what we know will be happening for you guys!

Oh, how wonderful, getting to hold a wee one again. Do they live close? I hope so, so that you can get to spend tons of time with the new baby. If Heidi does have another one, I cannot tell a lie...I will be happy. They need another mouth to feed like holes in the head...but nobody else who works hard and has children these days does...so they're in GOOD COMPANY!!

My appointment with the surgeon scheduled for this past Thursday, June 21'st, was rescheduled for July 12'th (busy life of a doctor). And I didn't want his associate, so I'm waiting. But, I'm so optimistic that the nutrients my brother sent me are helping me hold steady, with only minor symptoms of the disease. My nephew, his oldest son, has the same condition that I have, and they HAVE healed his colon with these OUTRAGEOUSLY EXPENSIVE but so very EFFECTIVE nutrients!

My brother said he didn't know if it would work for me, because my structural damage might be too far gone, but he said he wanted me to try them anyway. Since there's substantial improvement...MAYBE the
outcome will be No surgery, Diverticular disease GONE, no overlap into Crohns, NOTHING! emoticon

IF they ARE working, as they appear to be, and IF I have to take them the REST of my life to stay well, maybe I'll contact the company, they could do a study to PROVE they're working, then use my story as advertisement, and reimburse me with the nutrients! That would solve the cost problem! emoticon That's a thought!

We got to Fernandina to the beach today. We got there about 3:30, walked the beach for 2 hours, then left and went down into Yulee, Florida, to, of course, where else, WALLY WORLD (Walmart), as it's referred to here, and got our weekly shopping done.

I had a zillion things to get. I'm making a huge poster board calendar where I'll keep track of goals, appointments, group challenges, weigh-ins, etc, and stick a big star on each day I'm successful. And I needed batting for the half a dozen quilting projects I've got going on.

When we came home, I put on my Leslie Sansone tape and did the 1 mile walk. David thought I was NUTS, but I wanted to make sure I got "just a lil bit extra" in.

So, now I'm POOPED...and will close MY "book" for now. Have a really good night.

emoticon

Hey, hey, hey---SOOOO Great David joined, hmmm, Lauren? emoticon Bet that made you smile REAL BIG! emoticon I LOVE the pic of him holding your lil' baby Grandson!!! I can tell he's a Teddy Bear. emoticon emoticon
Hope you guys "DO" get to return to Fernandina one day, Lauren. AND ALASKA. emoticon I don't know Florida well-heck-at ALL---but in seeing it on the map it seems it wouldn't be "toooooo far" to anywhere, right??? I grew up in So. Calif. so I got to go to the beach occasionally, too. We were about an hour and 20 minutes inland, tho. It was about the same distance to Disneyland, so we took the kids every birthday till my oldest was 9 and my youngest 5---then we moved here to Utah in '85. Much better area for the kids to grow up. SURE WAS an ADJUSTMENT tho!;-) I'd lived in that lil' valley 32 years-all my life at that time. I SOOOO know what you mean 'bout the mountains!!!...I don't know WHAT I'd do without them-I "have" had them ALLLLL my life---they make me feel "held". NOT TO MENTION give me my bearings! emoticon
That was so cute 'bout that LOOK---" emoticon "...yep, I bet you're right-I bet the Momma "will" have more to say to your youngest 'bout that.;-)
We're going to have another lil' wee Person in our family about August 11. A little boy. My middle son-'twill be their fourth. We're praying for good things there-the Momma has been found to have a damaged heart valve and will have to have open heart surgery soon after the baby is born. We thought for awhile the baby would even have to be taken early, and by caesarean. Now they are inclined to let her deliver naturally. Seems Susi had rheumatic fever as a child and no one knew it-and now it's been discovered and NEEDS treatment. SCARY!
Life is INTERESTING with it's twists and turns, isn't it???
When do you hear more 'bout your situation, Lauren? I'm not sure what's happened with you but I know it's serious and soon. I certainly pray good things for you, too!!! I have been since I've gotten to know you.
Wellllll...I'll close this "book" for this time.
Have a real nice evening, David & Lauren...Sherry

You know what, Sherry? I, like you, can't remember a time when grandchildren weren't in our lives. It's a distant blur. They bring life and focus and purpose back into our lives.

I told David I thought I saw something move on the back seat of the van the other day emoticon ,he said "Nah, you're imagining it." Here all along it was YOU!! HEEHEEHEE

I am lucky to be close to the ocean. My husband was born and raised in Fernandina Beach, Florida. After we married, we spent a few years living up there before we unfortunately moved back into Jackonville. Someday when finances are heftier (one can hope!) we want to move back to Fernandina, onto the ocean. We want a summer home in Alaska, and a winter one in Fernandina! BOY, we don't want much, do we?!

11 years old, gosh, I remember when Mandy was 11. She's 18 now. Having been a "young" grandmother, the first 2 (I have 8) I was in relatively good health to enjoy to the fullest all of their antics. It's been a little harder with the other 6, as each year I lost another tiny piece of health. But, I think I'm going to beat that progression now. Another hope!

And my middle child just told me she's seriously thinking about having a 3'rd. Wow, I was surprised! But, the thought of holding a new wee one does make me waver some about it. Her youngest just turned 4.

My youngest, my son, told us the other day he's having only the one, no more! emoticon That's exactly how my daughter-in-law looked at him. Hmmmm...me thinks she's going to have SOMETHING to say about it!

Your day sounded sooo nice...I'm glad the weather was beautiful and cooperated on your day out. I think summer in any state is probably touch and go as to how it will act while one is on an outing...so it's really nice when it goes well!

I love cool breezes...and mountains...and blue skies! I'm originally from the Pocono Mountains, in Pennsylvania, and if there's anything I can point to that I truly miss, it is the mountains. emoticon
In Florida, we only have a few, and they're mid-state, someplace we just don't head out to with any regularity. But surrounded by the ocean and the river (St. Johns) does make up quite nicely for the loss of mountains, so I am happy.

Well, we are heading out for a while. Got some errands to run. I hope you're having a terrific day!

Lauren, Friend---BOTH agendas sounded DELIGHTFUL! Hope you "can" get to the ocean soon-I was really hiding in your back seat ready to go!---welllll, ok---at least I was PRETENDING I was---Oh, I could just see it in my minds' eye---hear it, smell it...mmmmmm.... emoticon You're so right-nothing like the ebb & flow to totally soothe the deepest soul-you're SOOO LUCKY you're close enough to go. And as for that painting---hey---it'll be there another day!...HOW TRUE it is 'bout loved ones coming first! Sounds like you and your Granddaughter had SUCH a nice day! Happy for you. Sharing things important to her and yours that are important to you and then making her feel pretty---Wow...great Grandma~those are the things that shape our young ones and make them feel important and loved-and you, too! JUST AS GOOD AND BETTER THAN THE BEACH, hmmm??? emoticon
Today was my first Grandchild's 11th birthday. A boy-his name is Christian. I can't IMAGINE a time we didn't have him. Yet the time has gone SO fast. We went to a nearby park and the sky was SO BLUE and the mountains so clear-felt like a perfect day. The heat had dissipated when earlier it had been searing-felt like it became cool with a gentle breeze just for those who love the evening.
Sounds like a great day for both of us-good nite, Lauren---and any others who may come. Sherry

Saturday night, and half the weekend is over. It goes so fast, I never know where it's gone to!

The day started hotter than blazes, but ended up breezy and cool. We spent it going from one kid to the next, trying to get all of them, the grandkids, and assorted others, into the day. We do that about every 3 weeks, so in a months time, no one's left out.

We've told the kids that pretty soon they're gonna have to do all the work and come to us. They just roll their eyes, and whine "When do we have the time?" Go figure...

The oldest grandaughter came home with us for a few hours, and we listened to each other's favorite songs (mine are by Kelly Clarkson and Shakira-hers are by Ciara-spelled right?), she showed me her MySpace.com page (which is adorable!), I showed her my SP Page (she said it's cool-high praise from a teenager!), and I cut all the dead ends off of her hair.

It was a good day, and I'm tired. Time to hit the hay. I hope ya'll had a good day, too.

Well, today's Friday, the end of a long, exhausting, but fulfilling week. I had 2 of my 8 grandbabies, and if I could bottle their energy and sell it, boy I'd be rich! We didn't do anything special, but one thing about those kids is that all day long, YOU DO!

Tomorrow I'm going to try and finish painting a wall in my kitchen that's been patiently waiting to be done. Gonna have to clean the van too, cause with grandkids in it, it's a sight!

But I'm hoping that maybe we'll be able to squeeze a trip to the ocean in there somewhere, where we can take a nice, long, walk. It's time...my mind needs the numbing, peaceful, push and pull of the tides, to get it all back into shape for Monday.

Sherrie, you're sooo right! We did amazing things today...and we will every day that we just put one foot in front of the other...and keep on moving forward...no matter how big or how small...we own our accomplishments!

I'm excited by a "new plan" and it will prove interesting, I'm sure. My hubby MAY have to pull me back from "passing scales" but we'll see how it goes.

I'm wishing for you a really good day tomorrow. Sleep well...night, Lauren emoticon

So, here we are at the end of another day ACCOMPLISHED WELL! We've done all we can do to make it good and happy. We "really do" get to "choose". There's always things that "could" bring us "down",---and sometimes they do---but wow, Lauren, and our other friends who will come-when you GO AHEAD and PLOW THRU those times-like when we DO have those gains---or when we don't feel good---or when we JUST DON'T WANT TO right then---mmmmm...WHAT VICTORY! THOSE are the times we're REALLY GROWING---the RIGHT WAY!;-)
I think your decision to weigh once a month is an interesting one-I can see pros and cons to once a week AND once a month. I think "for me"---if I waited all month I'd REALLY hope for something good and then REALLY be deflated if it weren't what I'd hoped. On a weekly basis, if it "is" "up", I can re-group and try to do something all the more about it.
I admire being open to try different things. I'll be anxious to hear what you think as you do this.
Well, it's time for me to check some other threads. I have TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly, a local weightloss group) in the morning-and that is my "official" weigh day---so I hope this week brings me good things-with that I'll say ni-night...Sherry

Not now, though, cause the next day we eat salmon, I'm doing it in the Foreman. And we eat salmon at least 3 times a week. I'll let ya know how it turns out.

Boy...did I EVER have a gain! As of this afternoon, to the tune of 8.5 pounds. Course, that was after 2 meals, and shoes on and fully dressed, on a different scale...but it was accurate enough for me to use from now on.

I started doubling my exercising, and something that's never happened to me before did now, I've bulked with muscle. My hubby says he can see and feel it on me.

But boy...was I shocked. I'm a "visual" loser, need to see pounds gone on the scale, so it's been a test of my determination...to say the least. So my solution is to go back to weighing once a month, giving my body 30 days to work it's way through the months up and downs, so that at month's end, it will show a loss. I DON'T want to see that again, even though I know it's muscle.

I hope you have a good loss. Water is so hard for me to get in, but I'm getting better at it now that I found something to help it go down better!

Please invite anyone you think might enjoy being on the team with us. The more happy walkers the better!

Hey---there you ARE already-we passed in posting.
Salmon and sweet potatoes, hmm? Sounds great---and SOOO healthy, Lauren. A friend of mine taught me to do salmon on the George Foreman grill that even those who don't like fish like! And it was simple. Just spray the salmon with butter flavor Pam and then season with Cavender's Greek Seasoning and Montreal Steak Seasoning and grill till quite done.
How do you do yours???
I'm doing well. I had a gain last week-so I'm being ALL THE MORE CAREFUL this week. I'm hoping for a good loss. I'm making sure I'm getting all my water and making good choices. Hope we see more of our Friends come join us soon. Can't wait to get to know those of you who will come. Be happy---Sherry

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR LAUREN! emoticon emoticon emoticon
...ANOTHER thing we have in common-June birthdays, Friend! I will be 54 next week---the 29th.:-) I hope you have ONE OF YOUR BEST, Lauren.
Good goin' being "off to the gym"---I'll join you in that accomplishment later this afternoon. And who do I think will win in your case???---BOTH! emoticon
Lauren, I, too, had delays in the middle of getting ready for surgery when I just had my hysterectomy and it was SO disconcerting. You get ready to find things out and then it's put off. BUT, it comes before you know it-I'll be praying all goes as well as things did for me. I know this has been tough for you. Take care-Sherry

My hubby and I have been to the gym (Whew...was hard today), where I did 45 minutes on the treadmill, varying speed and incline levels. We came home just before the storm broke, and had a delicious dinner of salmon and sweet potatoes (my all-time favorites). Now he's off to his job, and I'm off to "mine" here.

How's everyone else doing?

Lauren

Good Thursday Morning to everyone! Today is the 1'st day of Summer, and also my 54'th birthday! Ahhhh...another year older...but another year HEALTHIER! I couldn't say that about all of the rest of those gone-by years!

I'm getting ready to leave for the gym...going to pump my chubby legs into sleek submission (chuckle-chuckle), who do ya think will win, me or *them*?

Oh yeah, my specialist consult has been re-scheduled from today to July 12'th...AAARRRRUUUGGGHHH...I ONLY have another 3 weeks to wait to see how they're gonna "fix" my innards mess! emoticon

Make it a fantastic day, guys, and we'll catch ya later!

Walk...Walk...Walk
