Hoji, congrats on your weight loss so far and I agree slow and steady wins the race. I have a tendency to push myself and only end up injuring myself. Especially after I broke my leg my patience was short lived when I was given the go-a-head to walk again. It felt so good to be outside and walking that I would do to much. I'm back to walking around 45 min but it is not as much as I used to walk. Hopefully I can build up my strength again and go mountain climbing before the summer ends.

Sometimes it is better to break up your walks into smaller portions, say 2- 20 minute or 3- 15 minute sessions until your body (knees, back, leg muscles), etc.) gets used to it. When I started, I had serious anemia and could only walk about 20 minutes at a slow pace (so only one lap around the mall) because I would get so out of breath. I only walked once a day cause that was all I could take. I slowly worked my way up to 60 minutes, about 9 or 10 times around. You know what they say, "slow but steady wins the race", it's true, I say 60 lbs later and still going!

I just joined will tell you more about myself later on today. I'm off to work soon. Looking forward to getting to know you. I love walking and will be walking after work. I have joined a few of the team challenges because they help motivate me. I'm going to try and stay on track with my food today because I have fallen off track.
