C25K is a program that helps people get started if they find it hard to just listen to their body. If you always slow down or stop when you get uncomfortable but are willing to give your body a good workout you will do great just by starting to run and walk when you need to. Most of all make your walking/running a lot of fun by picking areas to run that you enjoy and doing it in company you enjoy (solo, with friends, with pets etc.) Cheers, Birgit

That sounds good. Just make sure if you're just starting out to keep the running intervals shorter. Good luck!!
If you are a runner, it doesn't matter how far or how fast. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run." J Bingham
I don't have a timer, and I hate running with earphones in so I don't want to download anything. I'm just going by what I guess is the "spirit" of the schedule rather than strictly seeking to follow the letter - I believe I'll get to the same goal in the end. I hope that's okay, in C25K-land? (I haven't signed up for any 5k run, can't find one around here, i.e. Rome, Italy).
