I probably won't see you since you start over at Oriole Park around, what?, 7:30? And I start at Inner Harbor at 9:45.

But I will get to see the Kenyans go through. Very cool.

Yup! Running in old B-more, probably wearing my premium from Frederick! I'm all bout the big bling! I must complete it... 5 medals for 3 races?! Sign me up!

It's only supposed to be a high of 66 with a 40% chance of rain... So, I'm a bit worried about the weather. But, Ill plan a couple of outfits and see what happens! I might still end up in short sleeves, but...

The long sleeve performance shirt? Have to tried Walmart? I get one for about $7 there. Had it for years.

My guess is, you won't need long sleeves after the first 30 minutes.

Are you running Baltimore?

Thanks. It's not a big cut, just in a super annoying place that is constantly rubbing, even in my extra roomy cozy slippers. So, hopefully, it will be healed enough that it won't bother, but I will be in the neighborhood of my local running store on Thursday and if it is still bothering me, I'll swing in and see if they've got anything that will stay in place!

And, yes, I'm tapering. Ish. Since I've been primarily cross training since over training, I'm not really running, but I am cutting back! :)

If it is a minor cut, it should be on its way to healing by Saturday (you are tapering, right?)
Keep it clean; body glide also works well on minor abrasions. Liquid bandaid is okay, but I prefer nexcare skin protector. The nexcare brand is basically a breathable plastic. Stays on through most anything. The skin protector is the same as their bandaids, without the pad.

As for the shirt... Yeah, body glide wherever there are seams on the shirt if you are really worried. I know the mantra of not using new things, but as long as it is not too far from your normal stuff, I think you will be okay.

Try not to overthink this, and have a great run! ;)

I think I'd try some Liquid Bandage for the cut, and a good bandaid over that - maybe just the sticky fabric part cut out of a larger bandaid, rather than a regular bandaid with a pad. You don't want anything that will scrunch and bunch up while you're running. I have heard of using duct tape too; I've never tried it, but it might be worth researching

Try a liner sock under your regular sock.

Might want to use a short sleeved shirt you are familiar with and buy some running sleeves to wear with it and carry a small pack of glide or aquaphor with you on your run.

I swear, I will stop agonizing over everything in just a few days! I promise!
My first full marathon is Saturday.
Last night, I cut my foot. Just a minor scrape, but it's on the side of foot where it rubs against my shoe. Band aids are only minorly protective. What do I use to protect that little nick that is getting rubbed and hurting? That will stay in place during a marathon?

Also, the weather predictions have changed and I may need to run in long sleeves. Problem is, my old long sleeve performance top bit the dust last winter and while I have a new one, I've never run in it. It was too warm after i got it. If I need to wear clothes I've never run in, do I just slather my whole body in Glide?
