Share the bounty again I got beats for free and My husband neighbors or I like beats so I am taking them to a friend whose husband dose not think fresh vegetables are a necessary. Gave cabbage and cucumbers away also. She gave me those and green beans. I brat her Spageti and meat balls , (the sauce was my creation) and I gave her jars lids and jar's with lids
I'm getting back into the groove of my running again after recovering from tendinitis. I have 2 half marathon's next month, and though neither of them will be a PR for me, I'd like to be able to run at least 1/2 of each of them.
I've also started tracking my food again. I would like to lose 5 lbs in September, and I know that doesn't happen for me unless I track what I eat.
I am also doing a Cross Training challenge with some online friends through facebook. LOTS of strength training for runners...I hate it, but I am going to stick with it through the month, maybe I'll lose a few inches with the weight I plan on losing!

It sounds like everyone is off to a fabulous start!
For this month, I'm going to start "rearranging the furniture". That's the phrase my SparkFriend TurtleRaskin uses with regard to the body changing shape as lbs are released and muscles are built.
I'm heading back to the gym this month. Last month was about eating healthy(ier) and moving more. Now it's time to add in the weights again.

SP starting weight - 285
We got back from vacation recently, so I need to get back into the groove with eating right and exercise! I had started doing some new routines with weights, so my goal this month is to increase my weight lifting, get into a working exercise routine and drop some pounds and body fat! I'm tired of my numbers being so stagnant!
It was a beautiful day! Took Strummer down to Ft. Vancouver and we walked around there and the waterfront, 5+ miles. Then we came home and dug potatoes and canned some blackberry jelly. 9 o'clock and I'm beat!
My only September goal is to drop 10 pounds, whatever I have to do! I see the doc the second week of October and she said my blood pressure is in that a-little-too-high-but-if-you-lose-some-wei
ght-it'll-come-back-down-to-normal range! So last month she said 10 pounds. And August was a 2 pound gainer for me, so now I've got 12 pounds to lose before mid-October! Bleh. Started September off pretty well with the walk, so we'll see what the scale says on Monday!
I know SP is all about eating well and doing healthy things rather than just stepping on the scale, but for the next 6 weeks, it's ALL about the scale for me!
No, i am can't believe it's September! But i walked to walmart today and stopped by to see my mother on the way back. Great weather today. Never walked so far. Over 6 miles. Have to take advantage of this weather. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
Wow! Can you believe it's September already? And fall is just around the corner. It's lovely holiday weekend weather so I hope y'all can get out and enjoy some of it.
I'm working on fall organizing and cleaning this weekend and through out the month. And I'm looking forward to getting back to strength training after dealing with a sore shoulder/neck these last few weeks.
