Congrats on joining! I love their new gym! I haven't been to any of the classes since they remodeled, but I always loved Zumba! Great cardio, fun dance moves and the instructor is usually really good about helping out the newbies. I recommend standing in the middle, so you can see the instructor. Good luck!
Congratulations on your commitment to fitness. I haven't belonged to a gym in years but am now thinking about it for winter exercise. I love swimming and would like to take a yoga class.

You might consider signing up for a personal trainer there at the gym for just 2 or 3 sessions and they might give you the advice you are looking for. Having a professional's take can be a good thing.
Hospitals are terrific for traumatic care; for acute care. They do a really, really good job in saving lives when it’s a sudden bleeding emergency. But in terms of chronic care, they’re terrible; (that is) in terms of the illnesses that most people have, endure, that cost the most money, that last the longest and ultimately die from. -Dr. Andrew Saul
Just joined the 24 Hour Fitness in the Hollywood district - is anyone a member? Do you have any praise of criticism of the gym? Suggestions for good classes to take, things to avoid?
