I tracked a total of 1,272 minutes (cardio and ST only) and that doesn't count the 4 days for 6-8 hours per day of walking around Disneyland, California Adventure and Downtown Disney.

I have worked really hard at this challenge between walking everyday and curves 2-3 times a week I have done 1,785 minutes of cardio exercise and I still have four more days. My goal is to do 2,000 minutes. For someone who only 3 months ago could not even walk 4 blocks without getting so exhausted I had to sit and rest 30 min just to recover, this is unbelievable. It just goes to prove that baby steps do indeed work. I even changed my goal weight from 180 down to 140 because I now believe weight loss is possible for me. I still have a long long way to go but I have found these mini goals very helpful. I am so grateful for this site. Knowing I am tracking these goals really helps to motivate me.

No matter how many times you slip, no matter how far back you slide, no matter how long it takes. Get up brush yourself off and keep going. Your destination will be reached if you keep the journey alive. You can do this.
-Bink Bell

My first goal:
to get below 300.
My second goal:
to reach 240.
My final goal
To get below 160.

When I hit the tracker button it does give me my total and it's correct. So maybe it adds all of it on.

Click on the link that says "400 minutes of fitness activities per month" it will tell you your progress for the month. Maybe once you hit the track now it will go back to the beginning of the month. I don't know how they have it programmed because I hit track now everyday.
Try it and let us know!!

MZNIEHU --You have to go to the bottom of the team page (before you click on thread) and under "team goals" you will see "Do 400 minutes of fitness activities per month" to the right there is a "track now" click that and enter your cardio minutes and it will add to the team goal. Then come back to the thread and log just like you are doing!! Great job so far!

I am not sure where we are tracking our minutes for the cardio challenge but mine for the month are
I try to do a 1-3 mile walk (60min average) every day and 30 min at curves 3 times a week.
(I also started using the spark tracker for cardio and strength)
9/1 - 9/7 ......480 min (hour walk x7 and 60 min @ curves)
9/8 - 9/14 .....420 min (hour walk x6 and 60 min @ curves)
9/15 - 9/21
9/22 - 9/30

I checked in at the Sr center this morning with last week's 'mileage'!!

Then my neighbor and I did a 2 mile walk--woohoo!!!!

****I was thinking about drawing a smiley face on my right knee--I have a perfect circular red bruise on the top of the kneecap!!! It just needs eyes and a smile!!!

Looks like neither of us had the best weekend, I sliped on a wet deck Saturday (after I went to the track for som cardio)and sprained my hand and shoulder. Sore yesterday but today I walked 60 minutes and will do 30 crunches. Take care of yourself Bonnie!

I am assuming that if you have already entered your fitness minutes it will capture them. I have been hitting the goal button everyday but I have usually already entered my exercise minutes.

Hi BonnieBee,
I'm still a little confused. Do you need to click on the goals button for every day you exercise? Or does doing it once cover it?

Have a good weekend. With this heat coming up, we plan to be in the woods or on the water as much as possible.

The minutes are not tracked automatically. You must go to the bottom of the Team page and click on the Track Goals button--sorry--I'm new at figuring out these goal things too--for some reason I also thought it was part of being ON the team--shucks--will have to re-evaluate thta team goal total minute thing--don't think the 12-15 of us are going to bust a million--ya think??? LOL

Keep up the good work and enjoy this glorious weather!!

Just to clarify (since I'm new at this): Our cardio will be tracked automatically if we're a team member, right?
Let me know if there's anything else we need to do.
Thanks,

Okay, math wizard that I am not----LOL

Jenny from Spark helped me fix the team goal......unfortunately that meant starting over, but it's only the 3rd of the month!!!

Please join the new goal and I am going to delete the first one which wasn't getting us anywhere fast anyway!!!

See you out walking,

I would love to do the challenge, I am just coming off of a biggest loser challenge and need something to keep me motivated.

Is this going to be in the team goals area so we can track it?

Time to show some city pride!!!

Let's aim for a team goal of 400 minutes (that's 30 minutes a day 3 times a week plus 40) of exercise per member for the month of September.

Some of you may not be able to do that much but some do more so it should even out.

Check in however often you need to in order to keep track.

We may even be able to come up with some prizes!!!

So show your Portland spirit and pride and move your behinds, too!!!

See you out walking,
BonnieBee
