One last thing - today (3/24) is the last day to sign up before the price goes up $5, so if you're considering, now's the time.

Sorry, I didn't respond earlier.

The race benefits the Abertina Kerr Foundation, which works with children that have emotional/mental health issues.

As for walking vs. running, one of the nice things about this race is that there isn't a seperate walk, there are just pace groups. So, you can feel free to run/jog as much or as little as you'd like.

If you're debating, I say you should definately jump in with both feet. As you said, you can't help but feel proud when you cross the finish line. And, it's amazing the range of people you'll see of all different fitness levels taking part. So, don't think you'll be the only one huffying and puffing your way through.

The official website for the race is: http://www.race4theroses.org

I am highly debating on wether or not to do the race. I am thinking I jog/walk the 5K. I have never done a race before and I would feel so darn good about myself once I crossed the finish line!

I will keep you updated!

I hadn't heard about it. Thanks for mentioning it. I'll bring it up at dinner.

OK, I missed the Shamrock run. What's this one for and does it have a walk?

Anyone else doing Race for the Roses on April 6? For those who are interested, it's not too late to sign up. I think it should be a fun one.
