I tend to loose weight in spurts. Make progress for 1 - 2 months, then none for 3, then progress for 3 or 4, then none for 5 - 6, then progress again for 1, etc. (Currently in another plato).
Doing the same things, eating the same foods WILL MAKE the plato longer. Change things up about every two months or so ... remember PMS and muscle weight happen.
Before I started "spark" I was 197 lbs, I hit an eight month plato and that's when I discovered this website. I have thrown away me size 22 through 10 clothes. Currently bouncing in the 6 - 8 sizes.
The weight has moved alot slower than the dress size. I spent two weeks hiking (no fast food in sight) and gained weight .. but the clothes were looser.
KEEP TRYING .. DO NOT give up. You CAN make it.
