Id be up for it if we start planning now. I may have a friend or two who would want to come as well.

I did Portland to Coast once and it was pretty fun. I'd be interested in joining a team, and my boyfriend would probably be willing to sign up too.

Sounds like a fun idea but I'm not sure I'm up to walking over the coast range. I am ready to try a local walk. Will have to check out the Shamrock one.

Here's the website for Portland to Coast Walk: http://www.hoodtocoast.com/index_ptc.php?i
=ptc
It is teams of 12 people & $71 per person ($852 total). The registration is open until the fill they 400 team limit or until June 30th. There are currently 223 walk teams signed up. Right now my finances are on a tight budget and I can't spare the $71 entry fee but as the date gets closer and my finances get better I may be able to register if a Sparkteam is created. Thanks for the reminder on the Shamrock. I did it several years ago and I think I can swing that one this year. Signing up for a walk or run is a great way to motivate one to eat right and exercise! emoticon

I've heard of the Hood to Coast, but not the Portland to Coast.

Does it cost money to sign up? How many people do we need to start our own team?

It sounds interesting!

I'd talking about the walk. I don't think I'll be up to the run this year, but maybe next year!

Besides just the Portland to Coast, I've also set the goal of trying to do a 5k walk or run each month this summer, starting in March. I've already signed up for the first one - the Shamrock Run on March 16. For that one I'm going to do the 3.5 walk.

Just to clarify are you talking about the Portland to Coast walk or the Hood to Coast run? I've always wanted to do this (either one of the events) and I've been think about signing up for a walk/run that will give me a goal to train for. I'd be interested in joining/starting a team too.

Hi all! I'm thinking about participating in the Portland to Coast this summer, but I don't have a team to do with. So, I'm wondering if there's anyone out there that has a team already that's looking for another member, or enough people who be interested in maybe starting a Spark team.
