Some of my favorite restaurants aren't chains and therefore can't really afford to have their food evaluated. I try to only go to them on "cheat" days so I don't have to worry about the calories as much.
although, (especially at my fave mexican restaurant) it's a good idea to share a meal or even just eat half of what's on your plate. Built in portion control if you ask for a to go box right away and put half in there.

5 lbs of muscle simply takes up less space than 5 lbs of fat!
If nothing tasted as good as being thin felt, no one would ever get fat!

I've had a hard time with this one and hope that people chime in! I especially like to go to independent restaurants that usually don't have nutrition info for their foods. I went to McMenamins and had their Brewer's salad - which is probably the healthiest thing on the menu? - but when I entered all the ingredients in the nutrition tracker (or my best guess at them), it was still something like 700 calories.
