Hi Dolphie, this is one chairty I don't personally support as a mother who lost her baby at 22wks gestation last Oct.
I've been writing articles to different organizations and celebrities asking they stop supporting march of dimes and you can find my reasoning here. This is NOT to affend you or make you look bad and I do hope you know I'm not attacking you in any way and LOVE having you here at Syracuse Sparks. I do however share my opinion on this organization because of my own first hand experience having lost our son so early. Check out my conversation here:
I've found that March of Dimes, while they claim to advocate for babies and mommies, actually DON'T have our best interest at heart and are politically "in bed" for their own agenda.
As a grieving mommy advocating for those of us who've lost our children through early term miscarriages or like me, who've given birth to our children and watched them take their last breaths, I find it quite disturbing that March Of Dimes claims to help our babies, yet in the end supports family planning whom while many of us grieve our sons and daughters, takes the lives of children.
I can't imagine ANY parent whose lost a child supporting such a cause knowing where they stand. The mere fact that March Of Dimes is taking political sides as an agency and advocate for those infants who can't speak for themselves while endorsing funds for family planning and abortions is heartwrenching and honestly as a parent of an only son whose in heaven...I do not want our hard earned money to go to someone who wants to abort their child as someone whose wanted children for years not just by conception, but adoption which is also financially pressing for us.
So I come to you hoping that you may think again about supporting March Of Dimes knowing that their politics stand before the children they claim they fight so hard for. You have a voice, and while I know that many agree for the right to choose, my own heart cries out for a child and can only pray that one day through conception or if we can ever gather the funds for adoption, that we may one day have a house full of them no matter whose body they come from. We continue to pray. In the meantime, we heartily accept that our son is in the garden with Jesus and there are children and families here to advocate for even in our own heartache.
In conclusion, please think about NOT supporting March Of Dimes for the reasons above, you may make your own conclusions hopefully with your own research. Your voice is an important one.
March of Dimes sent an email week asking for support for the new Bill. They had me until they sent this email out having claimed to advocate for the children....then asking for support of a bill that takes each of our money to end their lives. It's just devistating to those of us who've lost our children. You may find the links about MOD's Here: www.lifeissues.org/marchofdimes/sue_enouen

Those are just a few links. There are WAY too many and if you ever want to research I'm sure you could find them.
Please know that no matter what you decide I know it's a decision each individual can make. I'm not unaware that there are reasons, however, it's disturbing when charities like this for children become so involved in politics that they forget who they began to serve in the first place. The Infants.
So again, I share this because SO MANY people have no idea what March Of Dimes role is in their research studies for infants. As a mother of a child who died preterm, I stand against their principals. They are in bed politically with MANY organizations that support abortion, stem cell research and testing on living babies for genetic testing that could cause more harm than good.
It is my hope to inform the public about March Of Dimes and Hope that those who hear will not give a dime to March of Dimes.
Thank You for listening and while I won't be walking for this charity, I DO hope to walk with you and join in with you at another event. The mere fact you love to give to others just shows the love and compassion you have for others. Thank You for sharing that love!
