Seriously if any of you want to join me, there are a bunch of running groups in downtown JC I belong to. I can hook you up, so you don't have to run alone (esp when it gets dark out in the winter). There is no bad weather only bad clothes. Rain, snow or shine come join us.

Welcome to Spark People. Liberty State Park is a great place to go running. I usually go on Monday mornings and 2 or 3 other mornings during the week for about 30 mins to an hour. If you're ever up at 6:30 and want to join. Let me know.

Just joined today! Also relatively new to JC. Living in Paulus Hook and loving it (especially the beer garden...) I'm a grad student and teacher at NYU Steinhardt so I do most of my working out at the gym there, but wouldn't mind to meet some Jersey city work out buddies.

Hello Chilltown, Just joined this week and feel good already. I havn't lost any lbs yet but I'm only on day 5. I've been running in Liberty State Park and love the exercise stations but don't like the running as much. Well little by little. I don't belong to any of the gyms in the area. I've spent so much money of the years on wasted gym memberships, I rather try to build a routine I can do at home or outside. I think I pissed off my neighbor underneath me a couple times when I did certain exercises that involve jumping around. Lol! Well at least I'm not doing that early in the morning or late at night. Anyhow I will try to post here once in awhile if I remember to. peace y'all
I kept the membership by mother at Planet Fitness that's in Pompton Lakes. It's only $10 a month and it's an excuse to visit her. I heard they have another one of those in Bayonne. Don't know if it's $10 a month there too. I usually just walk around Hoboken or work out in my apt.

Track the food you eat w/ spark's food tracker. It's been 1 week that I've started tracking & it really helps. If you can't log on write it down so you don't forget. I also change how I eat, meaning I don't watch T.V., don't conversate & listen to my body when my stomach feels full 'cause my mind wants to eat it all even thought my stomach says stop. Good luck!!!
Hi, I just joined today. Just now actually!! Live in JC and really need some motivation to lose weight! I'm ready to do it. I workout some but can't identify the food culprit that is sabotaging my weight loss. Help!
