We use automatic sprayers .They sell them in feed stores and catologs like jeffers .They spray every 15 minutes or so.Bugs do not stand a chance , I hate bugs more then anything in the world.LOL In the winter you can put scented stuff in them.They are nice and not expensive.I have had one in my kitchen for years and have not died yet LOL I do not have it spraying directley on the food.

Now if I had a steady supply of fruit flies I might think about getting a really cool little lizard to hang out near the fruit bowl to eat them LOL

I would like to know also as we have a terrible time with fruit flies. We love to have fruit out, but it attacts lots of flies.
