When I lived in Shawnee, I joined 24 hour fitness on SMP and Quivera/Neiman. Since I worked nights, it worked well for me. They do have a large variety of classes.
Another one I've heard is *the name escapes me* but it's on Quivera at 75th or 87th (I'm thinking 87th). Don't know about the classes though, but a gf of mine went to it and really enjoyed it.
I'd imagine that pretty much all of the gyms with well recognized names would meet your needs as far as classes go. I'm back with 24 hour fitness (though in a different location). Really, it's the only one I've stuck with for a prolonged period of time. Hope that helps.

Relocating to Shawnee 2/11, am searching for a fitness center with wide variety of classes (preferably lots of spinning/trekking), and one that has classes or fitness activities for kids. Any ideas? Are there any that really stand out as good (or horrible)? Thanks for any guidance, much appreciated.
