man, I dropped out this past week. Walked a few times, did gardening, and 40 minutes of heavy cleaning over the past week. Tomorrow I will do a real workout! Back to the program!

90 minutes walking on Thompson levee, carrying my camera and tripod, about 12 pounds, 2 miles out and 2 miles back. Lots of egrets, herons, killdeer, yellowlegs, and other shorebirds on the extensive mudflats on the levee side of Thompson Lake.

Strength Training:
Day 5 (Lower Body)
Day 6 (Upper Body)
Day 7 (Core)

I feel like I had a workout! Now for the shower...

I kind of dropped out of my fitness routine after completing the 28-day challenge. The heat has been oppressive. Monday was cooler, so I took a two hour walk, walked 2 miles out and 2 miles back on the levee (see my walkwithmepart2.blogspot.com/ blog for photos). Then I took the next three days off. This morning I walked for an hour and 45 minutes. I recorded it as 75 minutes, because I stopped a lot to take photos. I also carried my tripod (11 pounds) and camera with telephoto lens (5 pounds), plus a backpack with water and camera gear.

I need to do some strength training . . . but at least I tracked 195 cardio minutes this week.

I can do better with the strength training, though. And I will.
