Hi everyone - I'm new to Spark as of yesterday, but so glad I found it! I don't have a ton of weight to lose, but I want to make sure I keep it off for good this time! I've been trying to workout 5 days/week, but finding that my shins are killing me. Anyone else have this problem?

I ran 2.5 miles today and this was my third run this week! I'm good with that! Hope everyone else got out and did something this week too!

We didn't get rain yesterday, but it was cold, windy, and overcast, so I didn't get out. I was too lazy to exercise indoors . . . but today I'll do better!

Lots of sunshine this morning! Supposed to get up in the 50s this afternoon. A pair of House Finches may be building a nest in the flower basket hanging from my porch. The male is singing a lovely song.

Good afternoon Peoria!

Yesterday was gorgeous! Scott and I went for a 2 mile walk with the dogs. Today we got out again for a much shorter walk, but the lake is melted and 40-50,000 Snow Geese were out on the lake. That simply thrills me!

It is warmer, but has been cloudy and foggy all day. It is supposed to clear up this afternoon. I might go down to the valley to look for Snow Geese. Their migration is a magnificent thing to see.

34 and rain this morning, but supposed to get up to 50 and clear up by afternoon. I've got to clean and work on laundry this morning and fix supper for kids this evening. Maybe I'll have time for a walk this afternoon.

Hi guys. Mary didn't make it down on Sunday, but I did get out for a walk. Yesterday I had to drive up to Peoria to run some errands and see the kids. Today it is nice out, in the 30s, and I'm going to go for a walk at Emiquon!

On Thursday, I walked 2 miles in 60 minutes, with camera in tow and Scott and dogs accompanying. Then Friday I walked Scarlet (our big black dog) with the camera, the same 2 mile walk, but in 50 minutes!

Yesterday I actually did a short 20 minute strength training. It wasn't so bad! I was using the excuse of needing to sweep the floor first, but I solved that problem by doing exercises with my dumbbells, standing up or sitting~!

I cannot wait the first day it is above 45 we are heading to forrest park for a hike. Still trying to find ways to get cardio in besides the elliptical or treadmill.

I've been doing very well on my nutrition goals, since I increased my upper calorie limit to 1850. I'm still slowly losing and I don't feel as deprived as when I tried to keep it below 1700.

Scott and I walked the dogs yesterday and today, a mile both days. It took 30 minutes because Scott can't walk that fast, and I had my camera with me, and stopped to take photos now and then. It felt good to get out, especially today because the sun is out!

I hear you CGRESS2. Wednesday afternoon I walked Scarlet, my huge big black dog, along Clark Road, while the sun was out. I walked one mile in 15 minutes, which is very fast for me!

It is wet and nasty today, so I don't think I'll get out. I'll do some housecleaning for cardio and then get my mat out and do my back exercises.

I haven't budged on the scale for months and months. I weighed myself for the first time in 3 weeks, and I was down 2 pounds!

It's that time of year. Cabin fever will be rearing its ugly head. It seems that each year somewhere around the middle of January, I get chilled and stay that way till Spring shows up. That makes it sooo hard to do anything. When I get home all I want to do is curl up under a soft warm throw.

I'm checking in for the first time in a while. It has been so cloudy and foggy for the past couple of weeks that I have become totally uninspired. Me too. Seems like my daily good intentions fade each day for one reason or another. Either I find my self not getting up early enough (I start work around 5:30 am anyway), +/or I find my self to tired w/not enough will power to do something after work, OR I LET my schedule interfere. I GOTTA get back on the exercise track. I KNOW I will feel better when I do.
