Parks and Trails have been removed from SparkAmerica. . . . I guess it was a source of spam and was not used much. That is too bad. I enjoyed having a list of resources. The pages are still there, but there is nothing listing them and no way to find them unless you have a direct link to the page.
You are right, the Peoria area has many beautiful parks. Bradley Park has been a favorite lately; we take the dogs and walk up the bluff to the upper dog walk. If no other dogs are present, we go in and let them loose. If other dogs are there, we keep on walking, because my three dogs are not well socialized to other dogs.
There are many beautiful areas around Peoria and Central Illinois...I always enjoyed walking along FonDuLac Drive in East Peoria...you can see the Illinois River and Peoria from the bluffs, and enjoy the wildlife...deers and chipmunks...
Far away in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.
