That is a great store and they are trained to analyze your gait and help you, just as they did. Remember also that your shoes will probably last somewhere around 500 miles. Yes, they do wear out. Some will last a little longer, some a little shorter, but thats about average.

I run in Mizuno shoes, they have different support types and get great reviews from all kinds of specialty running magazines. I hope you like whatever you were placed in!

I HAVE to recommend this shoe store in Atlanta (Lawrenceville actually) that my husband's firefighting coworker referred us to!

I have been seriously running three days a week for the past two months and getting shin splints every time I do. My husband actually got a stress fracture in April which required him to have to work a desk job for two months while he recovered.

Yesterday we went to the Feet Fleet on the corner of Pike St. and Culver St. but the historic court house. (There is a bigger one somewhere else in Altanta) The watched how we walked, told us exactly what our problem was, measured both feet in different positions, tried different shoes on us (I wear a different size running shoe!) and recommended orthodics to fix the problem with our step.

Today I ran and I did not get shin splints!!!!!

It also did not cost tons of money, either. The shoes were $100 for mine and $90 for his and the orthodics were $40, but they can last for a year or more. And, when your purchases culminate to $250 over time then send you a $25 gift certificate. They keep all you info stored in their computer so that if it works out well for you, you can go in there the next time and say, "I need to replace my stuff," and they just get it out for you and you're on your way.

I am soooo happy:-)
