I won't be able to attend tonight. My mom was in the hospital for 2 days (Tuesday & Wednesday) and I'm just so far behind with everything at home.

Hello everyone!

It's finally that time! Our first meeting is scheduled! Here is the info:

Who: Losers Like Us weight loss group

What: Initial Meeting

Where: 100 Bonaventure Blvd. Weston, FL 33326

When: Thursday, June 23rd - 8pm

The first meeting will be relatively short, information about me and the projected future for the group, a little meet and greet, then I'll be there until 10pm doing weigh-ins and measurements. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STAY AFTER YOUR WEIGH-IN IS DONE.


The meeting place is located in the gym-area of the St. Andrews at Weston apartment complex. The complex is on the east side of Bonaventure Blvd just north of Blatt Blvd and just south of SR-84. Once inside (automatic gate, no guard), pull straight forward into the parking lot in front of the rental center. Along the left side of the building is a sidewalk that leads to a set of stairs on the right hand side. This is the door to the gym area. I will be standing outside until 8:15pm to lead people in. If you arrive late and the door is locked, please knock loudly to be allowed in.

PLEASE BRING A YOGA/EXERCISE MAT! This is a large, open area with no seating so please bring a mat to sit on.

I live in Plantation and would love to meet other Spark People and have a support system. I have a conference room in my office that can hold about 10-15 easily and is free for us to use in the evenings. It is just west of the Sawgrass Mall. Let me know if you want to use this. I think this is great! I've been half tempted to hire a personal trainer just so I could get support, because that's what I need the most. Doesn't help when none of your friends share your healthy lifestyle.

Anywho, I'm in Pompano, which seems to be the exact opposite side of Broward as everyone else...

Anyone interested in joining a healthy weight loss support group? Been running one online successfully for 5 months and I'd love to have a local group to meet in person. Let me know if you're interested! Will be run somewhat like Weight Watchers, but using SparkPeople, group discussions and group weigh-ins/measurements (private weigh-ins can be done, of course).
