That was an ugly, ugly series. I believe even worse than 2006.... I blame us because we couldn't count on anyone to get a hit but I have to say, that the way the set up is with delays between games for those traveling a large distance and no delay for those that aren't- without a method to allow for sliding over of a series that looks to be over quick---- ~shakes head~ no excuses- we didn't deserve to win!

What's going on with the offense? Bases loaded with 1 out and no one scored? Shutout 2 games in a row? Outside of game 1, the pitching has been very good but we can't win if we don't score. I think the series is over, I don't see them coming back and wining 4 straight games. But Tigers, please prove me wrong.

I agree, we have the better starting pitchers and their ace will not be available until game 4 so with Verlander and Fister we have a huge advantage and a possibility of taking 1 if not both games in San Fran. Fingers crossed and bats popping.

Well who is going to win tonight the Cardinals and settle it or will the Giants win and run it to the full 7 games? I know the Tigers are playing scrimmages to keep sharp but will they be ready after a week off this late in the year? We will find out soon.

I think Tigers pitching is better than either team. But, Tigers can score with any team. Let us hope for a seven game series. I would rather play SF. SL seems to be carrying a horse shoe around with them.

Has anyone been watching the NLCS? They seem to be hitting a lot so my concern is are they better hitters or do we have better pitchers? I can't wait to find out and from what i hear it should go 6 or 7 games, those teams look evenly matched.

Do the Tigers have what it takes to sweep the Yanks? I think so, pitching wise I think we hold the advantage because they went through 5 or 6 pitchers last night so if we can chase CC early or make him throw a lot of pitches we stand a good chance. Our starting pitching in the playoffs has been outstanding, hopefully Max can continue the trend. Our bats were heating up last night and they will be hot again tonight.

I think being at home is going to help the Tigers bats. I see a big game for Cabrera. The biggest thing the Yankees lose is playoff experience. Batting in the playoffs is not the same as batting in the regular season. I think they bury them tonight.

Pitching hasn't been the scary part, they have been pretty consistent all year. I just hope the bats stay hot, if we can keep scoring 4 or more runs a game we will win more than we lose.
