Hi All ..........
Hope you had a good fourth and are having fun on this longer weekend!
I am glad to have gotten in a good workout today ........... Then got grocery
shopping done; went out to lunch w/ hubby, got some great deals at stores
since the sales are on!
One thing I am doing is ............ I watched a video on how to make an indoor
terrarium and so am gathering the essentials; I want to make a couple and give
one to my secret pal at work.............. Love fun hobbies ............. Any of you
have some FUN hobbies besides Sparking?

Good Afternoon team

I have walked 30min a day for the last 3 days. My goal is to walk 30min 5 days a week the two days hubby is here I have access to the car to drive to work. So those two days will be my days of rest.

I have also lost 1.4 lbs this week. FINALLY my weight is going in the right direction

Happy Sunday Team

I am sorry I have not been around for quite sometime. I have no excuses. I havent done well food or exercise wise. I am probably the most I have ever weighed currently. I am finding there is very few clothes in my closest that I fit into anymore and that depresses me. I have two jobs now. Full Time during the week Mon-Fri 9-5pm pays $15/hr emoticon . And I have my weekend job that I do Sat/Sun from 12-4pm pays $16/hr (just got a raise at that one last week). Also graduated from my college program at the end of April and my grad convocation ceremonies is on the 18th emoticon . So I am doing well financially for the first time in years. I hope my FT job stays because its temporary for one month but if all goes well maybe the company will hire me on permanent.

I weighed myself this morning. This is emoticon yet again but I will make it work at some point or another lol. I already did a 30min walk this morning. Tracked everything i have eatten and drank thus far which has been to much yet.

I promise I will be more active on the discussion form. I am even considering changing my homepage to the start page of Sparkpeople. Then I wont have any excuses for not tracking.

I posted a new blog about my first week of June. I didn't do so bad, but I could of done better. I am going to try to start focusing more on what I am doing well and not so much on what isn't going right. Often I am too hard on myself about the "bad" and not giving myself enough praise about the "good".

Well people, it has been a month. I was going to be sad that I gained two more pounds today, but looking at the big picture, In a month, I lost 2 pounds and 1 inch. That is progress. I did good. I will do better this month. Have a blessed day everyone.

I am on a program from Medica called novu and one challenge is weight loss. I have problems because the right side of my thyroid was removed.

I'm new here and instead of trying to jump in and "tackle" everything, I think I'm going to fix on one or two things before moving on. I've decided to start drinking water (which is a HUGE thing for me) and to start tracking my food to see how much "work" my diet is going to need to undergo. Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

It has been a while since I have been here. I posted in the wrong area. Thank you for the hug. It really made me feel welcome. I am going over to the blog and blog. This is day 2 for me. So far so good. I have not posted any food today, but I did have some cream in my coffee so I will post that. Everyone have a good day. Oh. I am going to do the 8 minute leg exercise today. I believe doing the daily exercises from Spark will help me to get into the exercise habit.

Sorry to hear you and some others are having some 'rough days' .......... A week ago I was in the emergency room w/ severe pain, had an MRI .......... yada yada ...... will spare you all the gory details ............ But I am at least over the uncontrollable pain and intense spasms, and just taking one day at a time. Glad I am not missing work, but have to back off on all my cardio til I am really better .................. anyway, how to get out of a funk? ......... Have you tried a reward system for yourself ...............something to motivate w/ a goodie?

Food day at work today. i am going to eat my regular lunch and just eat their salad and fruit that people bring. i am bringing my own salad dressing. no sweets for me. i dont want to get a taste for sugar or go over my calories.

had a good day.patched my roof. raked most of our yard and did 3 days of dishes. I was running a fever and didn't do anything.

good plan Fitgirl!

I made it through the day at work without eating the cute cupcakes someone brought. I was determined that today would be my fresh start. tomorrow is another food day. I am going to eat the healthy stuff and leave the rest.

The only day off that I ever have is Sunday. I don't have any vacation time until July because I just can't take off time - no one else at my office that can do any part of my job.

Hey peeps! emoticon

So, I'm again struggling. I think it's more mental than anything else though. I'm so stressed and tired all the time that when I do "splurge" it's more like a "binge" even though it's only once a week. I think it's throwing me off my game. In addition, I have been working such LONG hours that other than the 3 hours of moderate activity at work, I'm not getting in any other exercise and strength training is pretty nonexistent right now.

I really need to get back to a good place. I'm not sure how but if I don't turn things around soon no piece of clothing is going to fit.

I am back after an extended absence for numerous reasons, but at least I'm back :)
i quit drinking soda several years ago and only have it on a rare occasion. Mainly quit drinking the stuff with aspartame ( and real sugar of course) because studies have shown that aspartame may increase your chances of alzheimers disease. Lord knows I have enough trouble with my memory just with peri -menopause alone!



Think positive and don't quit on yourself!

I'm also kicking the pop habit. I was really hooked on Pepsi & Code Red. Now I only drink water or tea as of Mach 31..a 17 day streak.

Congrats on kicking the soda habit. My drug is sugar...I love sweets but I'm picky about which ones. I love dark chocolate, brownies and ice cream. It's really hard for my but I am trying to eliminate sugar. Trying one thing at a time and then try something else until I have it kicked.

Kudos for giving up soda!!!! I know how hard that can be. I had given it up in Aug. 2011 and then about the middle of 2012 I started drinking it again. April 1st I decided to give it up again. Last week was a lot harder than I thought and I only drank Cherry Coke Zero while at work. I can't imagine what that would have been like if I drank regular soda. It would be so much harder. emoticon

so I haven't checked in for a while.day to day has been hard.
but now that most of my health issues have been dealt with it's time to get back on track. I am hoping for a favorable out come in court on the 16th and that will help lessen the stress. Say a prayer.
Doing well with my fruit smoothies and not snacking so much. And I am doing better with my water. Now that Crystal Light has those liquid drops I'm drinking more. I add just enough for a hint of flavor but not enough to change the color. working so for ice tea was on sale so that is a plus too. I gave up soda pop the beginning of the year haven't missed that but work had a free lunch deal for us and I had a can, boy did my stomach hurt.
