I'm so frustrated. I have 10 pesky pounds left to lose. I eat mostly protein and vegetables. I exercise over 30 minutes every day. I am not losing any weight. Please give me some suggestions on how I can speed up my weight loss?

I've been to several all inclusives and if I drink, I make sure to stay away from the sugary fruit mixes. Pina Colladas and other like drinks have the most calories. I keep to simple vodka and light cranberry juice or long island iced tea. Eat plenty of fruits, but make sure it is something you peel. I also stay away from lettuce at all inclusive buffets in Mexico to prevent gastro intestinal problems. Drink lots of bottled water. I've had my share of Montezuma's revenge, and that is one way to not eat too much, but an awful vacation.

Get plenty of morning exercise before indulging begins, then you can indulge without the guilt. Most resorts have aqua aerobics. Join in! Don't fill up on breads and desserts. Portions in restaurants are usually small and stick to fish or proteins, not pastas. The buffet grazing is what will do you in. Eat breakfast like you would at home, small portions of fruit, maybe one egg, yogurt.

Sorry I've been MIA but I had a lot of computer problems.

I've been fine but I haven't been losing steadily. I don't know why!!!!!!!!! I keep trying but nothing really happens!!!!!!! Any thoughts?

Good morning Well this past weekend was fun! Hubby and I went to a MLB game. I had too much fun with food/alcohol but I'm back on track today. I will do my best to lose 1 pound this week!! So far today, I've had oatmeal with berries for breakfast and an 80cal yogurt for a snack. I'm thinking lunch will either be a quest bar or soup and fruit; not sure yet. Dinner is up for debate but I will plan on eating something healthy and low cal. I am going to the gym tonight with my friend too. Other exciting news; I got a fitbit. I have the spark tracker but I want to be able to track more than just my steps so I am looking forward to my fitbit. Well I have to run for now; catch you later!! :)

It's been a busy, food filled week. My grandson graduated on Friday from high school, there was a barbecue party beforehand, Sunday was a family barbecue because my daughter and her son were up from California. Last night was a celebratory dinner for my grandson's success in getting a job. Today my daughter and her son are coming over to meet my friend, Bob. Hopefully tomorrow will be back to normal as my daughter is leaving early in the morning.

Happy Saturday! :)

I set a monthly goal for myself today to weigh 185 by the end of the month and I've met that goal. Say what?!?!? I stepped on the scale this morning and it read 185! emoticon Now I need to set another goal. By the end of June, I will weight 182. I think that is achievable with one pound per week.

I don't have any plans for today other than picking up my new bicycle. I am going to conquer the fear of riding a bicycle once and for all and I decided the best way to do it was to get a new one that encourages me to do it! emoticon

@ Becky - I am glad you had an awesome day yesterday too. I struggled on my walk this morning, but I made it and had another awesome day which I finished off with yoga.

@ DESKJOCKEY - Welcome. Today I walked solo as I was struggling to make myself go and was in some pain so I didn't want to deal with the dog. What a great day you had. Way to go tracking - that is something I continually struggle with and it is awesome that you were still within your limits!

Hi Barb!! I had an awesome day yesterday too!!! I managed to get in 90oz of water, I ate around 1250 calories and felt great about my choices and in addition to walking at work, I also got in another 20 min walk on the treadmill! YAHOO!!!

I had an awesome day. Walked with my dog, upper body strength and yoga at the Y. Ate healthy and tracked and drank my water. Day one done!

I am doing much better.This weekend is busy with the Distinguished Young Women program, meeting Bob's granddaughter and youth group summer kick off barbecue. Next Friday is my grandson's graduation, my daughter is coming, and Sunday is Bob's granddaughters graduation (not the same one I ill meet tomorrow). So it will be a busy week.

I am sorry to have been MIA this week, but I have been really upset and emotional as two local high schools boys drowned over the weekend and yesterday our Pastor's young adult son died unexpectedly. It has all hit me really hard as it has brought back so many memories of when my son died.

Good evening friends. The scale was not my friend at WW this morning as I was up 2 pounds. Guess it is time to regroup and refocus on my goals! I can do this! Otherwise today was a great day. After WW I had my hair trimmed as it was getting quite shaggy looking. Then it was a walk with Marv, clean the bathroom, and gardening. Jerry came over and mowed and edge the lawns s all looks good for now. He only has one more week of school and then another week until graduation.

@ Becky - yes I am always glad when the checkbook balancing is done.

Barb - laundry and checkbook balancing always make a person feel good! :)

ABETTERME2015 - I think I've been having scale problems too, lol!!! Some really good lowfat snacks that help me are rice pops because the crunch helps me. Also, you should try some chocolate protein bars and lowfat fudge bars. They help me with my chocolate cravings.

Have been having computer & scale(LOL)trouble!!!!!!!!! Seriously, I'll post as much as I can.

It has been very hard lately to lose-I hit a plateau!!!!!!! I have to rethink my eating habits!!!!! I should find low fat snacks(that's my downfall)-I love potato chips & chocolate!!!!!!! I'll just do my best!!!!!!!

Just a quick hello tonight. I took today as a rest day from work. I did get laundry done and my checkbook balanced though as well as a walk and yoga and a massage. Feeling pretty relaxed this evening.

emoticon Elise! I sent you a spark mail from the team when you joined (let me know if you didn't receive it). We're happy to have you around!!! Joining in the discussions are a great way to meet others and make new friends and that is a HUGE part of this journey!

NOMIS1 - don't worry about the gain too much. Stress can aggravate those hormones and make us hold onto the pounds. Keep your head high and don't give up! I bet if you stick to your eating plan and really drink lots of water this week, you'll see a loss next week.

I gained 2 pounds this week too but I am NOT going to emoticon I am going to ALWAYS keep going! Weight gain a little bit is just part of this journey.

Middlesex County, NJ - I'm headed there today. I live in NY but have family in Metuchen and East Brunswick.

I'm not in a good place right now and in fact gained this week.

What I can tell you is don't give up. Take one day, sometimes one hour at a time. If you have a food plan, start by following it and take it one step at a time. If you have an urge to eat and you are not hungry try a diversion. If you can, come on Spark there's plenty to find on this site. Also before you take that first bite, along with any diversion, drink a glass of water. I know this tactic works, try it.

Hey all! It's been tough for me lately too!!! I have been trying really hard to get back into the groove this week. I've been doing pretty well with food but exercise is non existent other than whatever walking I get in during the day. Sometimes it's 2 miles sometimes it's 1.

Didn't do that great yesterday but better than I have been. Didn't get to the gym this morning but walked around the neighborhood for about 20 minutes.

I understand where you are coming from. It has been a real challenge for me lately too. I did really well with my eating until after dinner. Had one too many potato chips. But I know a lot of this is mind over matter, having will power to say no. Keep pushing and don't give up. You'll get it together. We both will. (((Hug)))

I am a mess. I keep thinking this time will be different. I can eat one of something, like a small ice cream bar. You know what? I can't.Can't pass up a sale plus a coupon so I bought Magnum bars. Telling myself I will have one and one a day for the rest of the week. Know what?? I ate the entire box last night.

I keep telling myself (1) don't buy stuff like that and (2) Get through the first few days, and it will get a drop easier Not easy, but a little better.

So here I am repeating the same old story and starting over.

Hey all

i ordered 21 Day Fix program about a month back. Sadly I havent been able to work with it yet because I have a brand new job I started April 1, also I applied for Team Leader there already to. Its a brand new call center to the city I live in. I also signed up with Goodlife Fitness last week. I get a discount thru the job I have after my 3 months. They have Zumba classes regular and aqua that are $15 drop in fee each class. Whereas the membership fee when I am on my discount is only $18.48 for two weeks and I can go to all the classes I want. I also have a Personal Trainer for 6 sessions so I make sure not to re injure my back or knee. I suppose that is news to all of you. Approx 2 months back I sprained my back, and I had to take a week off work at the job I had at the time. I could barely move and getting out of bed or standing up I was literally screaming. But I have recovered and can move normally but if i carry anything heavy it makes my back sore really easy,

So I should be good to go to be back on track on exercise and eatting right. And maybe if everything goes well I will have a new position at my job to, which should include an raise I would imagine. So alot to look forward to in the months coming.

Shadow, I keep forgetting about my page being private. I had myself a spark stalker for a while back so I changed my page to private. I'm sure by now they have left me alone, so I'll try to remember to change it back to public.

The weather is supposed to warm up some next week and I know I am looking forward to all this snow melting. I would love nothing more than to go to the park for a walk.

hi girls...wow, yesterday i was really active. i got alot of exercise just by all the shoveling and chopping of ice, then hubby and i took a walk around the development. probably the most active i have been in quite some time. the streets are passable now and waiting for the warmer weather to come to melt all the snow! hope this is the last of the storms this season.
going to start weighing in on sundays like i use to do. i stopped cause i was only frustrating myself, i think i am ready to resume.
woke up super early, ready to start my day. have a super saturday everyone.

hi gang...goddess must be really wanting me to get my exercise in...streets, driveway and pavement are a sheet of ice...schools closed...will be doing extra duty trying to chop up the ice that is all over. phew! hit record low temps.
cant really chat just wanted to pop in and say hi, hope all is well with everyone and for those of you in the cold like me...stay warm, it will be warmer temps next week...it's coming!

hi girls....natural cannot read your blog because your page is set to private..
i am not doing well with goals set, i just cant seem to keep them and then i go off.
sooo, i am going to just do whatever i can when i can. see how that works until i can find a routine that works for me.
andrea...know what you mean..i have been setting goals since november and each month...nothing. dont know what to do to get out of my slump, so no goals for now. only depresses me and frustrates me.
need to shovel my pavement today. that will be good exercise!....we have snow and ice, boy i cannot wait for spring!

Shadow & Andrea, I am so glad you are on the team and that you enjoy the team. :)

This month I decided I am going to focus on me. I haven't been doing enough of that lately. I have goals that I want to reach before our vacation to the beach in July. Shadow1012, this team is great!

All, I was pretty much feeling sorry for myself for no apparent reason all of February and gained weight. I am determined to take it off, plus some, and will continue on the 1 lb a week pace (I'm a little behind now, by ~1 lb).

So I'm with you Shadow - let's make March one that we feel great about!

hi girls... letting today go and starting tomorrow 3/1 no more excuses. i am going to kick my butt and get myself moving. i deserve to have a healthy body and i am going to be accountable for getting it......end of story!
my goals for march is to stay withing my calorie range and track my food. i also want to do a minimum of 30 mins of exercise a day. if i do that i know that i can lose a pound a week. this is my gift to me... emoticon
see where you are going with the food shopping....if i dont have healthy foods i usually eat junk.

Yeah, February was ridiculous for me too. But I am refocused and of course ready to hit the ground running in March. I posted my blog a few moments ago and set my weigh in reminders on my cell phone. Doing a bit of grocery shopping today so that I can begin my meal prep for the week.

hi everyone, i am new to your team and just started posting here. i have been trying to lose 5lbs a month, i lose then gain it back so i am not doing very well...but my resolve has not kept me from trying to achieve my goal. i am going to try and amp up the exercise, i think that is the key to everything.
yesterday i was miserable. lily(my kitty) kept me up most of the night, and i couldnt fall asleep...so i did not have my rest and could not fall asleep for a nap. went to bed super early and woke up refreshed and ready to start my day. what a difference a good night sleep could do. not sure what i am going to do today, but i do know that one thing i am going to make the time to do is get on my bike...so, need to start my day, have a wonderful wednesday.
