Shadow, I keep forgetting about my page being private. I had myself a spark stalker for a while back so I changed my page to private. I'm sure by now they have left me alone, so I'll try to remember to change it back to public.

The weather is supposed to warm up some next week and I know I am looking forward to all this snow melting. I would love nothing more than to go to the park for a walk.

hi girls...wow, yesterday i was really active. i got alot of exercise just by all the shoveling and chopping of ice, then hubby and i took a walk around the development. probably the most active i have been in quite some time. the streets are passable now and waiting for the warmer weather to come to melt all the snow! hope this is the last of the storms this season.
going to start weighing in on sundays like i use to do. i stopped cause i was only frustrating myself, i think i am ready to resume.
woke up super early, ready to start my day. have a super saturday everyone.

hi gang...goddess must be really wanting me to get my exercise in...streets, driveway and pavement are a sheet of ice...schools closed...will be doing extra duty trying to chop up the ice that is all over. phew! hit record low temps.
cant really chat just wanted to pop in and say hi, hope all is well with everyone and for those of you in the cold like me...stay warm, it will be warmer temps next week...it's coming!

hi girls....natural cannot read your blog because your page is set to private..
i am not doing well with goals set, i just cant seem to keep them and then i go off.
sooo, i am going to just do whatever i can when i can. see how that works until i can find a routine that works for me.
andrea...know what you mean..i have been setting goals since november and each month...nothing. dont know what to do to get out of my slump, so no goals for now. only depresses me and frustrates me.
need to shovel my pavement today. that will be good exercise!....we have snow and ice, boy i cannot wait for spring!
off to start my day, have a marvelous monday girls.

Shadow & Andrea, I am so glad you are on the team and that you enjoy the team. :)

This month I decided I am going to focus on me. I haven't been doing enough of that lately. I have goals that I want to reach before our vacation to the beach in July. So I better get myself together if I plan on reaching those goals. Check out my blog where I discuss my goals for March and my major NSV (nonscale victory) for February.

All, I was pretty much feeling sorry for myself for no apparent reason all of February and gained weight. I am determined to take it off, plus some, and will continue on the 1 lb a week pace (I'm a little behind now, by ~1 lb).

So I'm with you Shadow - let's make March one that we feel great about!

hi girls... letting today go and starting tomorrow 3/1 no more excuses. i am going to kick my butt and get myself moving. i deserve to have a healthy body and i am going to be accountable for getting it......end of story!
my goals for march is to stay withing my calorie range and track my food. i also want to do a minimum of 30 mins of exercise a day. if i do that i know that i can lose a pound a week. this is my gift to me... emoticon
see where you are going with the food shopping....if i dont have healthy foods i usually eat junk.

Yeah, February was ridiculous for me too. But I am refocused and of course ready to hit the ground running in March. I posted my blog a few moments ago and set my weigh in reminders on my cell phone. Doing a bit of grocery shopping today so that I can begin my meal prep for the week.

hi everyone, i am new to your team and just started posting here. i have been trying to lose 5lbs a month, i lose then gain it back so i am not doing very well...but my resolve has not kept me from trying to achieve my goal. i am going to try and amp up the exercise, i think that is the key to everything.
yesterday i was miserable. lily(my kitty) kept me up most of the night, and i couldnt fall asleep...so i did not have my rest and could not fall asleep for a nap. went to bed super early and woke up refreshed and ready to start my day. what a difference a good night sleep could do. not sure what i am going to do today, but i do know that one thing i am going to make the time to do is get on my bike...so, need to start my day, have a wonderful wednesday.

Good Afternoon All

Alrighty so I am going to try to be back on track as of right now. Partly to do with the fact that I am on medication for the next month everyday. And while on it I will not drink. I know when hubby and I decide to drink a night or two it hinders any progress I have made with losing weight. So I find I don't even try when I know we are going to be drinking that week.

So for a one month time frame what does everyone think is a achievable weight loss goal. Just for the one month. I need to make small achievable goals I find if I think of the bigger picture (my final goal weight) I feel intimidated by the work needed to achieve it.

Good evening friends. I had a good day. Marv and I got out for a nice walk in the fog this morning and then I went to the Y for yoga. After yoga it was sunny so after lunch I took Marv out in the back yard and while I cleaned up his messes and picked up some weeds, he ran like crazy. This evening I finished the fleece tie quilt for my grandson and started knitting a bag which, if I figure it out and get it done, will be for my granddaughter. Last night my daughter texted me that Grandma seemed to be doing better, more alert and wanted to wear regular clothes.

I am creating a motivational collage and "Road to get there" collage today. Heading to my friend's fitness room in her apartment complex in about an hour to get sweaty and rack up some exercise minutes for the January challenge.

I had an incredibly stressful and long week last week! I sure hope that this week goes better. I never made it to the gym to sign up but I think I might go there today so that this week I can start making an effort to get there. I need to do more than I've been doing.

I haven't left again girls. I have just been really bad sick with a cold, fever, sinus, nastiness. I am starting to feel better, so hopefully this means back into the swing of things and working towards this process. I have still been eating the best i can though with the hubby and the boys cooking it hasn't been the best stuff, so i have been watching portions. Still keeping my water going though i haven't really posted anything. I plan on changing that today. Getting back to posting.

On the good note.......I am down to 325 on the dot. I had a mini goal of being down to 325 by Jan 31. I met that goal!!!! When i went to my doctor last week they were happy to see that i was trying to lose weight. I am hoping to be around 280 by the time i go back in 6 months. Maybe that is to much. We will see what i can do!! Heck to be in the 200's somewhere by my appt in six months would be awesome.

Good evening friends. I had a late night last night and I am feeling it this evening. I didn't make it to the Y this morning, but I took Marv for a walk after Weight Watchers. Then I had lunch and went to the church quilting group. I've tried to catch up on my sparking this evening. Tomorrow I am not sure what the day will bring, but I definitely want to spend some time doing house work as it is starting to bother me which means it is time.

Happy Hump Day!! I hope you're all having a wonderful day! My week has been really long, really stressful and yet really productive! I have been eating really well and I've been getting a lot of activity. My work place moved office locations this week so there has been a lot of moving boxes, etc. In addition, it's a two level office and I'm going to be running up and down the stairs a million times a day! I think that counts as cardiovascular activity! emoticon

Good evening friends. It was a crazy day, but overall a good one. My friend picked me up for our strength class, but we decided to go for a walk instead. It was nice to be outdoors. After that another friend and her husband came by; her husband was working with tools in my garage as they are full time Rving right now; my friend and I went shopping and just visited. After that I did some errands for the Distinguished Young Women program that I am treasurer for. This evening I just did paperwork and some organization along with cuddle time with Marv.

@ TIGEER25 - I only have an orange book from spark people. Have you tried Amazon.com?

Hey all

I have a dilemma, I have been looking for a Sparkpeople book for awhile now. And no matter what book store i go to i can never find it. I thought for sure there was a book that had a blue cover, its a newer book. Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks Becky! I am looking forward to the day my weight is at where your ticker is. That will bring me so much closer to my long term goal. I WILL make it happen this year, watch me!

Naomi, I love Leslie! Although I can't do her as much as I use to because the impact is just too much for my knees. But I still do her a couple of times a week. Whereas before I use to do her DVD's daily. I will get back to that point eventually.

Well, I have burned over 1,200 calories the past 2 days. So if I eat like I got some sense this week and stick to my meal plans, I should lose 2 or 3lbs this week instead of just one like I did last week.

Sassy what a nightmare. Glad everyone is ok.

Took a walk this morning with a Leslie Sansone DVD.

Yesterday eating was somewhat good. One of my changes for this week is less fat. I started realizing how much butter I was using. So when I ordered a baked potato with my salmon and the waitress asked butter and sour cream. Without even thinking I replied nothing. That is huge for me.

Have a lot of errands to do today.

Dana - making a plan is very important! It feels like it take a time to do and when we're in a rush or busy we don't want to make that time; however, I know that I feel like when I don't have a plan, that's when I sabotage my efforts. Great job on the fitness minutes; this is where I'm lacking a bit.

Becky, Yes I am SOOOO enjoying the January Challenge! So glad we are doing it. I thought about you the other day when I saw one of those Nutri System infomercials. I am glad it is working out for you.

This week I am really working on not sabotaging when it comes to my eating. I killed it with my fitness minutes this week, but my eating was less than good most days. So today I am writing out my meals for the week. This includes my snacks.

I hope you're all have an amazing weekend!!! Members of the January challenge - Dana & I are really enjoying you and all of your hard work. You're making this challenge fun and we're working hard to make it enjoyable for you too.

I don't have much on my agenda for today except maybe, just maybe, finally taking down Christmas decorations. They are still up! I really had a hard time letting go of the holidays this year for some reason. I am also planning a trip to the grocery store to stock up on fruits and vegetables for the week to add to my Nutrisystem. I am really loving Nutrisystem! It's convenient and tastes pretty good. I can't wait to see what the scale says tomorrow after my first full week! emoticon

My year is finally working out. I think. On New Years Day I parked my brand new car in front of my house because we had bulk trash out for the next day and some guy was doing 60+ going down my street and texting and hit my car. We had just got home and unloaded the car did not even get into the door all the way when this happened. My car went through my front yard fence and half way into my neighbors yard. So scary and we were so worried they were going to try and fix it. The adjuster called yesterday and they totaled it because it had almost 16,000 dollars worth of damage to it. I can't believe it, but I think it was a blessing in disguise. Since I can't work right now we were having a hard time paying the high payment and now we can get a cheaper car and be ok. I am just so glad our car was there though because if it wasn't I think the other car would've went into my neighbors house.
Anyway.. yay! I'm so glad it's almost over.

Good Morning

Didn't go to the gym. Didn't want to go out in the dark with the temperature at 15 and feel like of 5. Also, that parking lot is not always cleaned the best so didn't want to walk there. with that said I did a Jane Fonda DVD so I'm happy about that.

I'm going to have a tough afternoon. I'm going to a Seniors Meeting which I do enjoy. However, it is very difficult for me with the cakes they have. My strategy is to have a bigger breakfast than usual so for sure I won't be hungry. Also, I am bringing a sandwich and fruit. I have to remember those jeans. I want them to button without a problem.

My meditation today was on focus. So I have to focus on those jeans and that junk that will, for sure, lead me to a binge.

Good evening all. Just a quick check in as it's been a long day. I got up early and went to my upper/lower body strength class, mopped the kitchen floor and steamed it, went shopping a little, paid bills, took Marv for a walk and then worked in the yard for a while. Tonight was a church meeting that went later than I would have liked so I'm tired, especially since I was ready for a nap before the meeting. LOL Talk to you all tomorrow.
