Yes, you're right, I had to start bottlefeeding them after several hours after the incident. Yesterday I found a woman from a local rescue who has taken them and will continue to bottlefeed and raise them. So very thankful for that but sad about the mother...
Hello, I'm a fellow cat-lover, and my cat looks very similar to the one in the pic posted for this group.
More importantly at the moment, the neighborhood stray was attacked by a dog yesterday just after having birthed 5 kittens. A whole day has passed, she has not come back, presumably she went off to die. One of the five did not make it overnight. They must have a mother, the county and city shelter will not take the litter.
Do you have or know of someone who has a mother cat who has just recently weaned a litter? This would be ideal to start relactation if it has only been a week or two. Hope to find someone in the East Valley.
