My cats will go berserk over Da Bird! They love it! I think it's the kind of whirring noise that it makes as you wave it around that really catches their attention. Maggie will run after it, but Alice will do some impressive leaps for it. The 2nd Da Bird they've had is getting kind of raggedy--I've tied the string in knots to repair it at least twice. I guess it's time to get out the one that I've had stashed away.
I even made up a little 'song' about Da Bird. When I sing it (to a made up--ready lame--tune) they come running to play! ('Da Bird, Da Bird, we're gonna play Da Bird'. and repeat about 4 times.)
I had a problem finding them for a while--Petsmart (the only place I could find them around my area) had them on their clearance rack. I bought two and my sister found one or two at Petco (I think). So I've had a couple tucked away for the future. Are they still readily available?
'Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming -- WOW -- what a ride!
