Orzo sounds amazing. My cat Emma was a loving and sensitive soul. If anyone in the house was ill, she'd lie next to them and stroke their face.

Cats are amazingly sensitive. They always seem to know when we are in some sort of pain.
My cat will always be watchful when something is amiss. He, too will pat my head if it hurts, for example or be there when emotions are out of control. I have called him my angel cat because I believe he was sent to me for a special reason.
I am glad you have found yours.

Jo, that is really something about CeCe. April used to put her paw on the side of my face (or usually Mom's), but she never did anything like that. Mom was one who didn't like cats, but April wanted to be her cat. As long as Mom was still living, April was right there with her (except when she sneaked out of the house). Mom ended up liking a cat.

Cats are really wonderful. I didn't realize that either until I got my two babies.
They are now a year old but when they were only 6 months old I woke one morning feeling really blue. A tear was running down my cheek and CeCe, lying beside me,
reach out with her little paw and wiped the tear from my cheek!
I couldn't believe it!!
I am so happy you have Orzo!!!! They can make us smile and keep us warm inside and out!

Cats are amazing. My Gidget, who left for the Rainbow Bridge in 2009, was extraordinarily sensitive. My son, when he was 16, had a terrible injury. During his recuperation at home, Gidget was less than a year old and that's when we discovered this. She stayed in his room 24/7, only coming out to use the liter box and eat. Later, when i would have terrible migraines she did the same. They are truly amazing.

I know more about dogs and horses sensitivities, but Orzo showed me how sensitive to their owners cats can be today. I got a card of sympathy for the loss of my dog today and completely lost it. Orzo hasn't been here a full week yet, but after a short time on the back of my chair he jumped down and gave me as much love as he possibly could. I feel so blessed that no one else wanted him and I got him. When they passed up Orzo they passed up a gem.
