I love that show! I have 3 rescues, one half Bengel who gets a little rough when he plays and likes to use his claws a lot. But in time, I'll get him to calm down. His other half is Siamese snowshoe so he comes high strung. Just wish he were as talkative as my Torti! The half Persian is THE ideal cat inside and out, but he doesn't have long left as he's begun wasting and is 15 y.o. When he dies, there will be copious tears... But right now, the only other problem I'm having is that the Bengel mix is riding the others & tormenting them, a power thing as the old Persian use to be top cat. emoticon

Jackson is great, the things he says makes sense. The cats on there are being cats. If you can't see the sign of leave me alone then watch out. They give signals all the time. I know my cats. I don't push them just to see if I am going to get swatted at or hissed at. My Queenie Triskit gets irritated when I cut her nails sometime. sometimes I can get them all done with no problem and then sometimes I get growled at and hissed at.

I definitely agree about seeing how people work to keep their cats. I know someone (who is a perfectly nice woman) who got a kitten and gave it away a couple of weeks later because it wouldn't stop jumping up on the kitchen counter. I know that she's more of a dog person than a cat person (I don't think she'd ever been owned by a cat), but I can't imagine giving up a cat once I took it into my home. She did find it a very good home, but still...

My cats insist on wrapping themselves around table legs and kicking at them with their back feet, fling litter out of the litter boxes all over the floor, drag wet food off of their placemats and let bits dry out on the clean floor, but I just scold them a little and give a little sigh. Then they come to me to be petted and all is forgiven. I know that those little things are minor in comparison to some of what goes on on that show, but I hope that I would never give up on mine, no matter how they acted.

We don't have TV service, but I catch some of it when I visit my parents. I love this show! The main reason I love this show is that it sends a very strong message that the people love their cats enough not to give up on them. I think that's a beautiful message to send, particularly now, when finding new homes for animals is so hard and so many are being abandoned. Jackson is WONDERFUL at what he does!

We have eight, all indoors, all spayed/neutered, and I am happy to say we are blessed not to have any issues of that magnitude. We got most of our cats as kittens, and they have all been socialized and handled a lot from the time they were little. They still each get individual attention. Sure, I have my favorites, but none of them goes unnoticed. Any issues are addressed as soon as possible. We are very lucky.

We love that show! We have 6 indoor cats, and each one has; well, let's just say "issues" All of them are rescues, with 2 being recent ferals. The balance is equal gender-wise. We watch the show to see what advice Jackson offers. We found out that if we really work out the youngest male, he leaves everyone else alone!

In my opinion, this is a must watch show, just to get some information on behavior as well as what to do with a "trouble child".

I haven't watched that show yet. I might have to catch it, just to appreciate my cats more. (but they're not really bad, just pesty sometimes.)
