Took Jonesy to the vet yesterday. Here's what he told me to do for future info.
Make sure to clean the ears out thoroughly, but NOT with a Qtip because this usually just pushes the "gunk" deeper into the ear. You can use a small amount of dishwashing liquid mixed with water, just a dab and warm water.
He said to get Milbemite. It is for ear mites in cats and can be found online or maybe at local pet stores. Normally if you get the ears cleaned well, it only takes one application of the Milbemite to get rid of them.
Also, I thought this was interesting. For any of you who use Revolution heart worm treatment... this also gets rid of ear mites and staves off several types of other worms along with fleas AND is a deterent to mosquitos.
Just passing on the info!
