I love working out at home, and as a mom of 3, it was a necessity while they were all babies! Building a home gym is a great idea, but you'd be surprised at how much you can accomplish with just a few pieces of inexpensive equipment. A stability ball, a pair of handweights, and motivation can accomplish BIG things!
Good luck with your endeavors, and let us all know how things are working out for you!
Old to the board but new in 2011 - I have not posted in a year or two - shame on me...
My goals are to begin leading a healthy lifestyle and losing body fat.
I will workout at my house and avoid the gym, even though gym used to be my home...that is another goal - home gym....piece by piece...baby steps....
Peace in strength and health,
I am curious about the goals of the group here. For me, the holidays are filled with lots of baking, and this year, we will spending Christmas with extended family in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee, where I am sure food will be a centerpiece. My husband and I will be in the middle of doing INSANITY, so that is good. It is portable, and requires no equipment, so we shouldn't have to sacrifice any workouts. That is my way on staying on top of my fitness through until the new year. Plus, it helps us to avoid the crowds of resolution-makers at the gym in January! What kinds of things are you guys going to do to be sure the holidays are HAPPY, but not FATTENING!? www.stamfordfamilyfitness.wordpress.
