I did it in 48:29! Read my blog if you want the details. I am really focusing on speed for the next month so I can get my time under 34 minutes for my 5k.

Results! I want to know how the race went! I am learning that I need to focus on my stride and foot strike so I can get better at running. I can't wait to hear about your race. I am planning to try to run the 5 k in April.

Thanks! My numbers have been pretty good. I got in 45 minutes this week, and my race is tomorrow so that will add another 45ish minutes. I love the challenges that the C25k team puts up. :-)

Sounds like an excellent plan! I am anxious to get outside again, but I hate the cold so it needs to be warmer! I will plan on doing this race for sure.

Julie- It is a 5k. It will be around Windsor lake. Which is a really well maintained path. Its my son's 2nd birthday so I will be running the race then coming home and getting birthday stuff together! Maybe we can get together and practice once it gets closer.

How far is it? I think I can do that one. This weekend for a four miler is just too much for me right now and I am afraid of the cold! I know it should warm up by Saturday, but seriously! It is so cold outside. April 16th I think I can do and it is cheap enough. I will put it on the calendar and go for it!
Send me the link - thanks!

I am afraid of the cold weather - especially since today and tomorrow will be so frigid. I am not sure I want to do the Feb race but am still considering it. If I can get new shoes and get my legs feeling better then I will go for it. I am not ruling it out just yet. But 4 miles? Why couldn't this be a 5 K?

I think I might do the one in March cause it is a qualifier for the Bolder Boulder and I hope I can cut three minutes off my time and qualify for it!

I'm doing the one in March, if anyone cares to join...and honestly, the more I think about the one in May, the more I think I want to try it.

I just restarted the C25K program. Did workout 1 of week 2 today. I got crazy and signed up for a half marathon in August! It is the Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half on Aug. 13th. I am committed. Truly. I know I can do it with a combination of walking and jogging. I am aiming for a 3 hour finish time. I will likely want to do the Bolder Boulder this year. My husband has been doing that race for over 20 years and I have done it many times too. Mostly with a run/walk combo but once upon a time (about 25 years ago) I ran the whole thing. Oh well. I will think about the Feb. race. I am not sure I will be up to a 4 miler that soon, but it is good to have smaller goals along the way to my big half so I will consider it!

Hey! I just started the C25K (I'm on week 2). I signed up for a 5K in FoCo in March. So, I'm not down for the Boulder Bolder yet...maybe next year! But, keep us informed on how you do!!

I loved it! I have actually done it twice ( once with one kid) and then again this summer with 2 kids. It honestly is the most amazing running program ever and I have recommended it to alot of people I know. My DH always teased me about running with the stroller cause I ran so much slower..until I made him push and run then he was the slow one and saw how much more effort it took to propel 50lbs of kid and stroller forward along with yourself!

How did you like the C25K? I am planning on doing it when the weather gets better. I don't have a gym membership and I have 2 kids I have to push in a stroller so I need clean sidewalks.

Sounds fun but I am SO not ready for that! Good luck!

Hey Guys,

I have graduated the C25k Program and am now just running to run, and following the B210K program to run the Boulder Boulder in May. Anyway... There is a 4 miler run in Loveland on the 12 of February. Curious if anyone would want to get a group together and run and Represent Sparks!
Here is the website with info on cost and times..
