No kidding about the heat! I started a walk one day around a high school's track (I was visiting my parents in Parker so no high schools around here) and their electronic sign that welcomes people to the school also announces the temperature. 83 degrees when I started around 10:10am and 85 degrees when I finished 2 miles around 10:50am. Jeez! Hooooot!
hmm...Poudre Trail...I may have to try that one soon on a non-morning-baby-time-library day. I usually go to the Cathy Fromme Prairie natural area. I don't live near it but it's nice and quiet there with a good sidewalk for my baby's stroller.
Sooooo what happened to Fort Collins? Did it fall off the map or what? I joined Spark June 1st and have been a part of this group since then hoping that I'd be able to meet other people to exercise with at least occasionally. Buuuuut....silence.
My son's almost 1 year old and is always changing things on me so I can never have a set schedule but if anyone's free mid-afternoon he's usually awake and rarin' to go...Maybe we could take a walk or something? I'm not a good jogger and I don't do the whole running thing (doctor doesn't want me to anyway because I have bad knees) but I do enjoy walking. I know some nice nature trails...?
