I like the simplicity of some of these challenges!

First challenge: Drink 1 glass of water

Extra challenge: log your glass of water

Challenge: 5 minutes of stretching to release the tension from the week and get ready for the weekend

Do 2 minutes of neck stretching - Head roll to right and left 6 reps per side, 10 second stretch each one.

Do 2 minutes of back stretches - Any kind you like. Cat/Camel, laying down twist, etc..

Do 1 minute of hamstring stretching - Feet spread, legs straight and hang forward (or ragdoll variation)

How about 5 minutes of corpse pose to celebrate hump day and whatever you did to move today.

Done! Could almost get the palm flat on the ground while going to touch my toes.

New challenge:

Wall Squats!

Sit as if in a chair with your back flat against a wall and your legs forming a 90 degree bend. Your hands should be dangling down. Can you do it for 30 seconds? 60 seconds?

Back strength!

Stand and slowly bend forward at the waist until your upper body is horizontal. Hold this position and just breath. Try to hold it for 2 minutes.

Boat!

Sit on the floor and with legs together, out in front of you lift them up, pointing your toes. Keep your back straight and head up. Lift your arms up so they are parallel to your legs. Hold this position for 60 seconds.

That was a great stress release until someone came into my office while I was on the floor doing cat/cow and wanted to know what I was looking for.

Challenge:
Reach for your toes 10 times without bouncing. Stretch a little further each time returning to a full standing position.

Reach for the sky 10 times alternating arm reaching and the other at your waist.

Clasp your hands in front of you with your knuckles facing away then turn your hands so the knuckles are facing toward you and stretch your arms forward for a shoulder stretch.

Last one. Clasp your hands behind your back. Keeping the heels of your hands together raise your arms as far as you can. Explore the edge of comfort, good stretch and too far.

Whew you're done!

Yeah, I guess that will do. My abs are hurting just thinking about that. Now you have to add a challenge for the next person.

Yikes! I've been bad about visiting our group here.. So I drank my water today and did 349 reps of various abs exercises. Does that count as crunches?? emoticon
