I was going to say today but seeing how it's 12:14 I guess I need to say yesterday lol well yesterday James and I lifted weights and I did 26 min on the elliptical afterwards. Really not where I wanted to be at the end of the year both with weight and workouts but with just recovering from surgery and with what happened with Trev well I'm freakin happy I'm not 300 lbs
So yesterday I hopped on the elliptical for the first time since my surgery. Wow it wore me out. I only did 40 min on it. I was trying to keep a pace of at least 5 but that was pretty hard to do. went 2.5 miles though in 40 min and after that I used our exercise ball to do squats (one with just sitting on it and another behind my back on a wall rolling it up and down as I squat up and down...if that makes sense LOL) and did one songs worth of situps on the ball. Ran up and down 1/2 of our steps 5 times so yeah burned a few calories yesterday lol
I hope you get to feeling better here soon Flo. That would stink to be sick for Christmas. So Sun went on a very short family walk. James and Alex were not dressed for the weather lol so 26 on Sun (1.3 miles) yesterday took a 51 min walk 2.3 miles also did some squats (aprox 40) during the walk too. I think I am at over 300 now for the month yay...though they are a slow 300 LOL. But nearing the end of the 6 weeks I'm on my fourth now
232 total so hopped on the recumbent bike. Only did 13 min Went 2.65 miles according to the bike lol it really wore me out LOL and it kinda hurt the tummy a bit not like a serious hurt but I feel something (if that makes sense) Now I must try and find my iced tea because I lost it somewhere in the house LOL
already on my third week after surgery. I am still so tired after doing stuff. Today I took a walk /jog only did 2.29 miles and 44 min I also threw in some walking lunges as well. I wasn't able to jog as much as before the surg but did more then last week. But now I am just beat. I am going to try our recumbent bike this week. I normally don't like to do it because you are just sitting (in a normal sitting position) biking...it's not much of a workout normally. But I think it would be a good thing to toss into the mix right now. I stepped on the scale and ugh yeah I gained. It's kinda hard though you are just sitting around and hmmm am I hungry? Well let's just eat lol but that is done with now and love that I am getting back on the ol horse Glad you are feeling better Flo...remember all the advice you give me...and you take it LOL 219 total for month...hmmm I guess 200 minutes is kinda easy to hit isn't it?
I took your advice and took it slow yesterday. I just walked at 3.3 mph for 25 min at a 1.5 incline. I feel better today although not so good to motivate me getting up at 4:15 to work out. Well, there's always tonight.
Way to go, Flo! I hope you're not overdoing it, though, if you're having so much pain. One of the coaches this morning suggested taking our resting heart rate in the morning when we're still in bed, as long as it's not right after the alarm goes off. She said that if it seems to spike sometimes, it could be an indication that we're overtraining. I'm going to start doing that, I think, as long as I can remember to take my pulse when I wake up--usually, I'm getting up to let the dogs outside :)
Good job, too, Tara!
Today was my first Saturday morning training run with my LLS Team in Training team! We ran around Washington Park in Denver, and I think it took me about 35 minutes to complete the 5k course. I was slower than many of the other runners, but thankfully our coaches ran portions of the course with me and kept me well motivated even if I couldn't carry on much of a conversation myself. I'm looking forward to getting more miles in this week before next Saturday's training, too!
Total minutes for December = 65 (I have a lot more to do this month!)
I jogged 3.34 miles yesterday. Kind of disappointed because I had to stop due to a pain in my foot that I couldn't jog away. Between walking and jogging yesterday, I did 55 min. For lunch, I lifted weights with a co worker.
I just jogged 2.15 miles today. Again disappointedbut I hurt all over. Did only 40 min today.
Ok jealous of the pants sag...I am trying not to step on that evil thing. I don't think I want to know how much weight I have gained. It hasn't been too healthy eating the week I was laid up and after. Getting back on track with that...it's just easier for James to toss a frozen pizza or lasagna in then chicken, wild rice LOL But took a walk today went for 2.5 miles and 64 min. I may just make my 200 goal LOL.
I walked jogged for 5 min yesterday and then had to walk because my left hamstring tightened up. I have been lifting weights during lunch with a co worker. It's been great and I am getting stronger, but of course the scale says otherwise. I have never really been one to measure my body by scale, so it doesn't bother me that I am gaining a couple of pounds even though I should be losing them. However, on the plus side, my pants are starting to sag on me. Means that I may be down a size Woo hoo!!
This AM, I went to BJJ for 60 min. My whole body hurts, but I was there and rolled around. It felt good. Going to feel it tomorrow.
It's pretty freakin sad I am right now after doing such a small amount. I went for a short walk today after dropping off Alex. I realized sometime into my walk that I somehow paused my workout lol so really have no idea how far I went or for how long,,,it says 1.10 miles 36 min but I did some walking lunges and a total of 20 walking squats. I did a slow jog for all of about 10 feet LOLI am pretty wiped though. So I am hoping to do 200 min this month since I am still in recovery mode. But let me tell you how good it feels to not be a lump on the couch
hey hey welcome back Liz. So yesterday James was going to take the dogs out for a walk and really I HAD TO GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE!!! LOL So we made it a family walk with the dogs. I am not walking them cause I am so afraid of them pulling and etc lol so we walked a slow pace but I did walk 3 miles. LOL I was beat afterwards. I say to James and just a few weeks ago I biked 25 miles LOL...yeah yeah I know I know surgery and blah but I am going to try to get back to walking at least a couple times a week. So for yesterday I have 75 min 3 miles
