I still have a headache dogging me, but otherwise I'm fine. I didn't do a weight workout yesterday, but I did squeeze in some push-ups.

I got out this morning and had all the energy in the world for the first 20 minutes. Faded fast and I was dragging for the last 35. Better than nothing! I got out later than normal, and boy was it hot and humid! ick

Hope to hop on the bike tomorrow

Much better today except for a nagging headache. I've been having trouble getting to sleep because of sleeping in and not expending much energy through the day. I plan on starting up my weight routine tonight and get out for a walk tomorrow morning. The appetite is coming back, so it's time to start buring those calories again!

A little better day by day. I felt pretty good by the time I went to bed last night, then woke up feeling a bit woozy. I miss working out, but I know I'm really not up for it yet. Luckily my appetite isn't back to normal either. LOL

My goodness! I hope you are feeling better soon! Sounds like your family has had too much sickness lately. At least everyone was well for Great America. I hadn't been in over ten years, it is a lot of fun! Lots of walking and being around so many people is very tiring for me, but worth it!

Anyways, hope you feel better soon! Hang in there!

We went to Great America on the fourth. The kids had a blast. I ended up on three or four rides and that was enough for me. I must be getting old. LOL Got in a lot of walking though!

Sunday I woke up with my daughter's stomach flu. Still trying to recover today. I probably won't be working out again for a few more days.

Took the kids to their first swimming lesson today. Wiped me out, and all I did was drive and sit on the beach. Tonight my son has his tennis lesson (if it doesn't rain).

Well, my boyfriend was out of town for the last couple weeks so when he got back we spent the weekend together which means. . . bad food and no exercise! Since he had eaten out so much on vacation at least we didn't go WAY over board, and he is a pretty active person so we got some calorie burning in - we went to Great America one day and did some major house cleaning the next. Ah well, back on track tomorrow!

I hope the little one is feeling better! Did you have a good fourth?

My little one threw up again late last night so I didn't get up early to workout. Later, since she seemed much better, my husband, kids and I went out on the prarie bike trail for an hour. I wish I could do it more often as part of my workout routine, but I don't feel safe using it alone and there is no way I can drag my husband out there. He is not into cardio workouts.

Sounds like you are doing well too! Good for us! ;-)

My kids take their lessons at Main Beach in CL. I grew up on a lake (Wonder Lake), so I don't have a love of pools. Lakes are my thing. There's always room. LOL

Went out walking today, but I was really dragging. I cut my walk short and it still took almost the same amount of time. I do my weight lifting tonight. I'm hoping it doesn't rain tomorrow morning, but if it does I'll just dust off a DVD and workout with it instead.

No plans for the fourth. We usually play it cool and the past couple of years we went to a Kane County Cougar game. They have fireworks after the show and the kids can run the bases. Don't think we'll do it this year since we have a couple of games line up for later in the month.

I can't believe it's July already. My big birthday is creeping nearer, and not to long after that its back to school for me. oy.

Sounds like you are staying right on track! Good job! I didn't get to swim the other day because I got to the gym and the two lanes in the tiny pool were all taken! I was so aggravated! I need to find another pool. But I have been pretty good, working out at least every other day. I did the treadmill yesterday, will probably run outside today and tomorrow to make sure I get in enough exercise this week incase this weekend gets too hectic. . . Any one have exciting fourth plans?

I went swimming once last year while the kids were in their swimming lessons. I forgot how quickly swimming drains you. I only managed a few minutes. And to think I spend nearly everyday in the water as a kid.

Today I did my bike ride. Felt great. And we did get to the zoo. It was great weather for it. Went to the Milwaukee Zoo and for dinner we drove into the city and went to The Safe House. Kids had a blast. We were all exhausted when we finally got home. I still plan on getting up and walking tomorrow tho! ;-)

Wow, you are doing awesome!!! It is always nice to shake it up a bit. I think I will go for a swim after work and shake up my routine too!

Keep it up!

Those food prices just keep going up and up, don't they? We never have bought a whole lot of extra junk-type food, so we have very little wiggle room to make cuts on the grocery trip.

Today I got out for a great walk/jog. WhooHoo! I walked for a mile, then jogged for three minutes/walked for three minutes. Toward the end of the walk, I was jogging for three and walking for five or ten. Overall I got in 18 minutes of jogging and the rest of the hour was walking. It's a bit of a different routine for me. Just wanted to shake things up a bit. Tomorrow I plan on hopping on the bike for an hour. If my daughter feels better (she was throwing up this morning), we will go to the zoo tomorrow, so there will be more walking!

This week is going to be a character builder for me. Did a lot of wandering Saturday (comic book convention) but while my ankles were sore due to concrete floor not sure I did any serious calorie burning. Now I've got to figure out how to feed everybody for the next two (maybe four) weeks on less than $300 since my husband's next paycheck is already spent. So formal dieting is pretty much out of the question; I'm just going to work on getting the healthiest cheap food I can find. Good news is I don't have any money for junk food. emoticon

Yes, I got my new shoes (thanks for asking) and I love them! I have been out in them three times now. The first time out on land they were a little awkward with some strange pains going on in my ankles/calves but I think it might have just been my body rejecting exercise . . . again. By the end of the run I was doing awesome! The second time was on the treadmill and I had another awesome run from start to finish (I blame it on the shoes). And the third time was my four mile race yesterday which went great except for a new blister on my big toe :( I'm not going to blame this one on the shoe, maybe my stride was a little off. I will just have to keep plugging away! But the guy in the store was awesome and the shoes are very comfy! Boy was that a long story! In short I love them as long as the blister development does not happen again!

Where is everyone else? How is everyone else progressing?

Summer is usually my easiest time because I enjoy being outdoors and moving. And I tend to want lighter, healthier foods and I drink more water.

But this summer we have had more family emergencies (sister, parents) that have messed up my workout routine and more celebrations with lots of good food.

July is actually going to be even worse. We've got vacation and a couple big events, one being a wedding.

I just have to try and keep focused on the prize.

Good luck to all of us as we try and do better starting today!

Glad last week was better. Keep biking and moving forward. Get that momentum going again.

Dani did you get a chance yet to try out the new shoes? How were they?

Well I had a rough couple weeks food wise with birthday celebrations etc., just wrapped up the last of the "we wanna take you out" dinners this evening. Great to have so many people that love me, but not great for eating. Exercising has been moving along, but not much progress when I have been eating so much!

So, I am with you! New week, fresh start! Gonna eat right and continue exercising like I have been. Let's do this one together!!! Tomorrow I am already packed for the gym or a run outside depending on the weather. What are your plans?

So last week was better than the week before, but it was still two bad weeks in a row.

Next week will be great! honest. I plan on cutting out one walk and replacing it with a bike ride to shake things up a bit. Plus, it burns way more calories in the same amount of time.

How is everyone else doing? I'm afraid to step on the scale tomorrow...
