After 2 weeks of Start it up, I did Ramp it up for the first time today. Did I get my butt kicked!
And there was me thinking I was doing really well with Start it up....
Ah well.... it is all for a good cause emoticon

Yes, I remember BIU being pretty tough. It is definitely a huge step up from RIU. I have two more weeks before I dive into BIU! Good for you for going to the next level!

So, I skipped ahead and did a few days of BIU and today I did Keep it Up. I think RIU is the hardest of them all. Maybe that's just me, but it was a big jump from SIU to RIU.

It is a good workout! I did Start it up with a combo of the other Slim in 6 workouts for 2 weeks. I just started RIU this week and it's a lot harder than SIU! My buns were sore for a few days. I think it's a great workout! I'm a little nervous to start Burn it Up. Gonna wait another week I think ;)

Started the Ramp it Up routine yesterday and I was surprised at my stamina. I've been taking it rather slow through the series. I spent a week (4 times) doing Start It Up, then I did the Cardio Express (Slim Series) twice. Now I'm on to RIU and I am going to alternate with the Cardio and Cardio Sculpt express each week. This workout series is usually my go-to when I'm starting over or need some exercise but can't keep up with Turbo Jam.

So I'm glad that I made it through RIU the first time in awhile!

I'm doing RIU now, but I've done it before. This is my 2nd time through the SI6 series. I got it in January and finished up the first time in March. Just found it to be super effective for toning me up without high impact so now I'm pushing play again.

Unfortunately, I had to take a break from exercise the past few weeks. So I'm re-starting Ramp It Up. Today was day 1 all over again. Anyone starting Ramp It Up?

I have finished 2 weeks of SIU and am ready to begin RIU tomorrow. Glad I looked at this board first; sounds like I need to mentally prepare for a bigger challenge with RIU. I noticed that no one has posted on here in a month. Anybody out there still doing SI6? Would love to hear your thoughts, results, encouragements....

Thanks Angie! That was a great workout! And longer on these new rereleased dvds! It was 'only' 48 min on the old version. Like the new moves Debbie added too. I can almost feel myself shrinking already lol!!!!!

Debbie does suggest that you can stay longer with a levelif we are not comfortable. However, eventually you will need to challenge yourself and move to burn it up. For the wrists, you can use your forearms. There are several sites with exercises that can strengthen your wrists...I just googled it....one of the sites is WWW.yogatuneup.com/blog/2011/01/28/strengt
hen-weak-wrists/

So Ramp It Up is kicking my butt. In fact I'm extending it to at least another week because I just cannot get through the last portion after the stretchy bands portion.

Any suggestions for weak wrists? I cannot stay up on all fours to complete everything - I've tried doing the fist thing that Debbie does and going down on my arms and none of it helps.

And can I ask if people are going on to Burn It Up even if they are not doing Ramp It Up 100%? I feel like RIU is giving me a good workout (I'm definitely sweating) and would like to be able to do all the exercises before moving on to BIU, even though I'm definitely not fitting it within 6 weeks.

thanks!

New to Spark People. Last day of RIU tomorrow. How do you track RIU and BIU ? Enter manually from HRM or do you choose e.g. strength training ? Moderate strength training with no rests seems to be very similar calories to my HRM.

I love it when a plan comes together

I am in week 2 of slim in 6 and doing RIU I have to say that it is harder than SIU. The butt exercises are intense and so are the crunches but they are worth it. I already feel more toned.

Today is Day one of RIU! I am excited to start. I was a little sore after SIU, in my quads, even though I had been doing squats prior. I tried to listen to what she was saying and I think I was guilty of too much stress on my knees before, so my quads were like WTH?! but I rested over the weekend and ready to hit it today!

Hi,
I just finished my second week with slim in 6. I am on my 3rd week with Ramp It Up! I was soar, I took two breaks instead of one, and went crazy with my diet eating the wrong stuff. I am re-focused and starting next week off with a bang (staying focused and sticking to my meal plan). www.teambeachbody.com/get-fit/superg

TWNOMWE , my knees hurt too when I do lunges. On Plies, I found that if I turn my feet out and widen my stance, then I don't have that nasty twinge in the knees. For lunges, I use a tall box to do step ups on-- It is a 90 degree bend when I step up and it has really improves my thutt (the area between my thigh and butt)! :)

Great Job for both of you FITN49 and ANGELICSTEPHY.

I walked 4 miles of the fat burning 5 mile walk with Leslie and I am heading out for lunch hour walk. I am planning on doing the ST training portion of BIU after work.
I still find the lunges and pliers(sp or meaning?) pain in my knees.
Enjoy the weekend.

RIU finished. Now to make sure I stay on track with eating right.

BLINDBATTY had a suggestion about maybe increasing calories. If I don't see any major change this week, I will give that a try -- perhaps add a protein shake.

If you were here you would complaining as we are doing for the lack of a good hot day in summer ANGELICSTEPY. We get two good weeks (if we are lucky) of temp in high 20's to 30 C (68-88 F) and then it is high 10's C.
I can not complain much because I love outside walking and this a perfect weather.
I am off to walk as I need the minutes for the 5% summer challenge.
Enjoy the heat (Vit D activator) and have a very nice weekend.

FITN49 I usually do Ramp it up in the morning around 5ish, so then the soreness burns off before I go for my walking/running around 9pm.

But keep up your good work too, this video is a challenge by itself. I am really not liking what Burn it Up is going to be like.

Week 1 Day 6 Ramp It Up done. I still don't do lunges but step ups on a 14 inch tall box. I hate the floor work too. But I have gotten a lot better at it.

Got through the whole RIU tape today for the first time. It was not a perfect execution and there were breaks involved and a lot of groaning but I did everything to the best of my ability and even got through the yoga stretches at the end. I am sore but happy.

Yesterday was to be my first day of Ramp since I only did 2 days of Start on my intro. I chose to take the day off yesterday because of the heat in our area and constant running of errands/doctor appointment. So today was my first day of Ramp. I forgot how much I hate the bootie workout. LOL

I don't know what happened yesterday. day 3 of RIU -- I was too tired and could only make it through 27 minutes. I was sweating buckets and got really shaky. So I stopped and jumped in the pool for about 10 minutes and felt better after that.

Has this happened to anyone else? I plan to be back on track today

Made it through 42 minutes of RIU. I kinda die after the floor work out with the legs and then the ab work out gets tough and I do not make it through the yoga stretches. I am not as sore today. i am getting stronger. Yay

I started RIU today. Last week I did 5 days of SIU and 1 day of 6 pack. I feel very sore all over; arms, abs, butt, legs; but I feel good. I'm going to try to do this for 2 weeks before deciding if I should move on to BIU.

I put in Burn It Up by mistake yesterday and decided to go for. It was the most difficult workout I have ever done! I made it through it but, I'm going back to Ramp It Up today. I love these workout because they are real fat burners. The results I'm getting are fantastic!

Keep pushing play,
deb

On day 1 of BIU I thought I was going to die!!! lol Day 2 I thought it was manageable Day 3 (today) felt a little like Day 1 helpppp I've still got 3 more days in this week before I get a day off!!!! It's definitely a challenge at TOM (time of the month).

Can I do it??? I hope sooo, Thank you soo much Melina05 for your encouragement, that may of been what I needed to get through tomorrow. No I'm not following the diet just sticking to 1200-1550 calories...watching my fats, sugar and sodium and logging everything down.

Have a great week everyone emoticon

Well, I made it through the first workout. It was not as difficult as I remember, I guess I'm more fit than I was the last time I tried Ramp It Up. I did, however, sweat buckets! It was great! I love to sweat and I know I put every fiber of my being into it! Oh. yeah!

I'm so proud of myself, I wasn't going to push play today but I came on here, got motivated, and forced myself! even at 10pm! I'm so glad that I did it and now I feel great! :)
