Hey all, I'm curious to know where everyone goes for their walks and runs. I'm training for the Water to Wine half and I'm having trouble finding good places to do the long runs.

I know you can run the track at SRJC, though I haven't yet, and Spring Lake, though the one time I went there I somehow got off the trail, went through a picnic area, and ended up doubling back on my route! I did go to Santa Rosa Jr High (I think?) off College Ave and ran the dirt track there once, but there was soccer going on so it was crowded and that track is actually not a 1/4 mile track, it's 1/5 mile which I find annoying.

Some in another thread mentioned another trail?

I usually run in and around Oakmont, as I live right off the highway fairly near by. It's a good neighborhood to run in, well lit and few people out. I have a 5 mile and a 3 mile route picked out there. I recently joined the Airport Club because I work nearby and get the corporate rate and so far it's pretty awesome and easy to run nearby. I don't particularly like treadmills, but will be using those when the weather gets bad, it's just been so good lately!

So if anyone has routes near Windsor, East SR (think Calistoga Road and 12) or points in between they wouldn't mind sharing, I'd love to hear 'em!
