Baby steps. I agree start each day with 10 minutes and practice replacing the negative self talk with positive self talk. It is about finding the right balance for you. Use the meal plans but try to find menu items that are easy to prepare or you can make more than one meal and store the rest. Dont be so hard on yourself. emoticon

Just post the day before make a copy and only eat what is on the list.
Did you know the food diary will make up the food plan for the week and print out a shopping list? we only do 10 minute work outs to start building consistency. Give yourself a brake and start being kind.
Eating the food will not make me happy.

I'm not doing well at all. It seems my life is consumed with buying, preparing and eating foods on my meal plan and then spending time recording everything. This week I went on a rampage and ate bakery goods and Valentine candies and ignored my meal plan, except for breakfast! I'm afraid to step on the scale. Mealtimes just seem to run into each other. How do you live a normal life incorporating socializing, housework, etc. without having to focus so much on food and exercise?

I have no problems with exercising when the weather is good, but..
I hate exercising in the cold and rain.
I resolve to do 30 minutes of something today on.

Half way thru February already? How is everyone doing on their goals?

me? I have been drinking my water and tracking my food. I realize how much food I eat and by tracking it and I am making better choices. Or at least I am trying to ;)

I still need to sign up for the 5K on April 17th. I have put it in my calendar I just need to pay for it and make it official.

My goal for February is to lose 4 pounds. So far I've gained one pound since starting on Sparkpeople. It's not their fault...all mine unfortunately. I just haven't had the motivation to exercise. That will change this week, however.

I am with you when it comes to stepping it up. I think I have stayed in my comfort zone these past couple of months and I need to push a bit more. Walked today at lunch with a co-worker and will do my ST tonight.
