First, I love that Nikki described herself as "only" 5'11" - that's my height and I get asked at least once a week how tall I am.
Probably because I love love love high heels. DSW is an incredibly dangerous place for me!
Have you tried Zappos? They have some pricey brands, but if you find shoes you like, they will ship for free (and quickly) both ways.

I wear a size 12 W or 13 in Women's shoes and I've found some of the cutest shoes shopping online at Torrid,Avenue or Lane Bryant.

Try Amazon.com -still the best collection of larger shoes sizes and widths I know hands down....DSW does not offer as much as amazon does....

I WISH I could be obsessed with shoes!! I am only obsessed with finding shoes that fit. I wear a size 12 or 12.5 women's / about 44 in European sizing. For boots, sneakers and most sandals I can get away with men's, but it makes me crazy trying to find cute, comfortable "girl" shoes that don't cost a week's salary.

Any suggestions on good places to order shoes online? Payless.com has some, but they don't tend to last. I've also seen large girl sizes at Torrid when I've been in the US. In Canada we have "Long Tall Sally", which has great shoes, but are quite expensive.

I also like shoes too - much easier for me to find these days than eons ago. I also don't mind wearing heels :)

Try dsw.com for shoes - I know you can search for Wide (I need that) but I think you can search for narrow too.

I love high heels! But, it's so hard to walk in them! I'm 5'9 and whenever I wear heels my boyfriend tells me he forgets I'm tall (he's around 6'4 so i guess me being around 6'1 in high heels always takes him by surprise). Sadly, I have a hard time finding cute heels because my feet are big (size 10), wide & flat :(

Gymrat-I'd suggest BCBG shoes. They are really cute, but they are ridiculously narrow (although I'm not sure if they carry 11's).

I love shoes, but shoes don't love me and I am not fond of shopping for them.
I use to wear a 9-1/2 slender... had a child and now wear 11 slender... you know how hard it is to find a narrow or slender heel? Dang hard - at least if you don't want to shell out a lot of dough! Love them, wish I could buy more of them, too hard to find affordable narrow shoes. SIGH. emoticon

YES!!! The higher the better. I am only 5'11", so I top out at 6'3". I typically don't do anything higher than a 4" heel because I don't care for a lot of platform on the shoe.

I love shoes (heels) so much that I have an FB album dedicated to just pictures of my legs in shoes. Each shoe has a name.

So yeah, I have a slight obsession with shoes. I want to buy them all the time lol
Today I'm wearing flats, but have a wide variety ranging up to 5" stillettos.
I tell people my height varies from 6' to 6'5" when they say "You seem taller today"

Any other tall ladies like the tall shoes too?
