I like the alloy jeans (but the alloy brand specifically- tried a few of their others and I think they make my legs look too wide and thankfully I have skinny legs). Also I try Hollister which come in long.

I did though want to pass along that I JUST found this site www.makeyourownjeans.com. You can pick whatever style you want and they take all your measurments. With shipping came to 68. Some of their styles I wasnt too crazy about but found a color that was plain dark. Ordered them today. Ill let you guys know how they work out!

I have gotten long jeans up to 37 inseam on Alloy.com and also Delias.com.... American Eagle also has some jeans in x-long in all sizes, but have only seen them at the online store.

Thank you *so* much for this tread..!!! Im saving it as a favorite!!! I have a 36" inseam...dont have the 28" waist though..hah!!! When I was 150, my goal weight, I had a 25" waist and was a size 4, but its barely anything to feel so great abotu since I didnt look like a size 4. While complaining I cant fit into any of my 4's and barely any 6's my best friend said...when were you ever a size 4?! Ahhh...for about Five Years!!! Hah! (this was years ago..Id kill to fit into the 8's or even 10's in my closet now...)

The only place I buy jeans at is the Gap...I hate shopping cause everything is too short for my legs and doesnt fit over my huge butt...so when I found jeans there I stopped looking. Now I have something to look forward to when I lose weight..Im saving this thread =D

EBAY is my best friend!!!!!!!! All my jeans "retail" for over 200 but I usually pay between $50 - $100 and you can get them brand new with tags! Just make sure they are a reputable seller with positive feedback.

I'm not sure what a 28inch waist works into as a pant size (8 maybe?) but I found that a chain here in Canada sells their dress pants and jeans in a 36" inseam from size 0-18. If you are ever in Canada visiting this store is SOOOOO worth going to, you will love them; they are cheap (less than $70) and excellent quality. I think they also have a store in NY but am unsure.

I love jeans (it's kind of an obsession) and I must wear them with heels. I'm seconding the Earnest Sewn suggestion. They can be pricey - I've gotten several at Saks Off 5th, or Neiman Marcus' outlet store for under a hundred dollars - but I have several pair of "designer" jeans and they are by far my favorite. I too am a 28 waist....

I know this is on the pricey side, but they do have a sample sale now (in NY) and others may be interested..

Jeans made me feel so awkward growing up! I finally found my first pair of jeans that fit a year and a half ago.. from Earnest Sewn. Their fit was done to a supermodel (forget her name now) who was dating the owner at the time.. and they're AMAZING. One pair I have has a 38" inseam. They're a dark denim and I love being able to roll them up at the bottom and wear heels. :)

Hey All! I haven't written here yet but I take a 35-36 inseam and I find that Seven for All Mankind jeans are a godsend for me. I only buy them at Filene's Basement since they're only 99 bucks there--whereas at a department store they would be upwards of 150. Anyway They always work out GREAT for me and I am one who has the absolute hardest time finding jeans since I'm more round in the middle with skinny legs! Hope this helped someone!!!

Hi Ladies, I'm new on the team. I'm used to being one of the tallest girls around but here, I'll have to look up to everyone else! (I'm 5'9") I'm wondering if anyone else has seen the ads on this website for indidenim.com? It's a custom jean company where you choose your style, color, fit, details, fill in all your measurements, answer questions about how store-bought jeans typically fit you and then "poof" the magic perfect fitting jeans are mailed to you. They are $130. I don't usually spend over $50 on jeans, but if they're really as great as they look I think it would be worth it. I'm thinking I'll order a pair as a reward when I get under 200 lb. I'm just wondering if anyone has ordered some and if they're great or not? Also, it could be a good solution for the 28" waist, 36" inseam issue.

Every passing moment is another chance to turn it all around.

This is the kind of problem that people always say they would love to have, lol. But I'm guessing you don't love always finding pants that don't work for you. It's sounds good in theory to want this problem since that would mean you have that 28" waist, but no one likes not being able to find clothes in their size whether its because your too large or too small.

My lowest weight ever was 130, and I was still a size 3 then...and that was BP (before pregnancy!) It wasn't a healthy weight for me, either, but I had mono and couldn't eat for a month, so I lost about 15 pounds. Back then it seemed to be much harder to find women's jeans that were long enough, I wore men's Levis that were 26x36, and they fit great. Which meant I didn't really have much in the way of hips...

But have you actually seen a size 0 extra long? Gap carries them....at least hanging on the rack, they look a little ridiculous. Looking at their size chart, that would be a 23-inch waist...I'd have to lose a couple ribs for that. No size 0 for me :(

Joined this conversation a little late, but the store Vanity has their own brand of jeans that have super long inseams and a high variance of waist sizes. Pretty cheap too. I think about $35-$40 a pair. If you catch them on clearance you can find a pair for $10! I have also bought Silver's from Vanity before and they are great but around $80.

I get mine from victoria's secret. I like the V-Cut. I also have a 36 inch inseam (all my height is in my legs). Also, they range from 40-80 bucks a pair. So totally reasonable.

Hey, that's what I wore too, a size 5, at 130. This woman I once worked with, her daughter asked what kind of drugs I do, because I'm "so skinny" - I could hear my co worker laughing all the way in the front of the place, and she told her daughter I won't even so much as stay in the same car where someone is smoking a joint, lol. So yeah, I can relate to what you're saying. But 130 is where I was actually fit & toned, nothing anorexic about it, as I ate what I wanted when I wanted - I was just into eating healthier at that time.

Just wanted to reply about the sizing of jeans. I am 5' 10" and have been from 130 lbs. all the way up to 230 lbs. In my smallest day at 130 lbs the smallest size I was able to get into was a 5. I was often accused of being anorexic then so I was wondering how I have short friends that wear a size 0 and don't look as apparently "deathly" as I did. It's always been a personal complaint of mine because I always felt fatter than my friends because I wore a bigger size than they did. What a mind game. Of course now that I am 200 lbs. it is nearly impossible for me to find jeans big enough that aren't too short. URGH on pant sizes. Skirts have always been my friend....LOL!!

Interesting... I found a store within a mile of where I work and I was JUST at that mall at lunch today. Ha! Guess I'll have to see where the store is inside the mall and check it out sometime. :)

No...you can purchase them from stores. I started buying them when I lived in Manhattan and then I found one in Florida before moving here. They are usually located in a higher end mall, but I have seen a stand alone store. A co-worker of mine was able to find a few pairs at TJ Max, but I have been unsuccessful. I doubt that they will carry the extra long in any outlet or store other than theirs.

Here's a link to their store locator that I was able to find.

Good luck...I swear by them!!

Since you mentioned $200 being unreasonable...what do you think about a little over $100? If this isn't too steep, try Lucky Brand Jeans. I own 6 pairs and I love them. I have a short waist and the ultra low fits perfect. I do not have to worry about having the saggy crotch area.

Also, Gap has 36" inseams on their jeans. I own a pair in a size 4 that I can still squeeze into. The Gap jeans were about $40 or $80 I cannot remember. Still, I prefer the Luck jeans. They have a much better fit for my little butt that isn't flat!

Oops, I forgot to mention that my Lucky Jeans are a 37" inseam!

Good luck!

Does anyone know where I can find jeans with these specifications, that are reasonably priced? Whenever I find the right length the waist is way too large, and when the waist fits perfect, the length isn't right. If I do happen to find the perfect pair, they're almost $200.00! Anyone have any suggestions? I want to be able to do a little crazy shopping once I reach my goal!
