Hello everyone what an exhausting day. Mum is having a knee replacement next week. We had to see so many people today and do so many things. I was running late for work and rang to tell the girl I had left in charge to stay an extra hour and she said I can't I have a lunch date. This is after giving her 1 weeks notice about this appointment. To say the least when I got to work I rang my boss and told him I had had enough of uncooperative people and he had better do something about it. Thursday he is coming out to deal with this person.

Life is hard enough without others adding to my stress.

So now I need to escape - who wants to come with me??

Blue skies, soft balmy breezes blowing. palms swaying, soft warm sand between the toes. Sitting in lovely protected corner of the cafe let us feel the sunshine coming through the glass doors. Feel the warmth. Close your eyes and feel the breeze blowing through the doors. Ahh such serenity. Deep breating and stretch the arms above he head. Feel alive and energised.

Hello gang..just a quick visit, so tired...
Georgia, what surgery is your mum having? Pre-op tests and stuff can wear ya out!!!
Andi...so cool that Ally kinda came into her own over Thanksgiving...sorry about the seizure, that had to be scary after not having one for so long....do you have to back off of driving for a while or are your seizures usually only rare occurrences? My prayers for a healthy Holiday season..
Amy, i can so understand little Rachels stress during special events..my two youngest have a terrible time staying "adjusted" even with meds...i have to admit that i raised my middle child's meds to the highest level allowed just to get him (and us) through the past week..phew!!
Jennifer, hope this week is kind to you..it was great that you were able to spend quality time with the boys over the weekend...
Dee, glad to see you stop in...glad you got to spend time with hubby too this past week...hope things will stay calm during resettling into the routines again...
hi to everyone else, take care, prayers and hugs for all...

Amy-you sound like you are doing real well. I am so happy for you.
Amanda-sorry you are still sick and having problems, you are always in my prayers.
Jennifer-I am glad you are back
Georgia-I so missed your visuals, I didn't realize how much until I wasn't able to access them. Blogging and the Teams is what I missed most about Spark People. Both areas really help me keep my sanity. I was so quick to anger with Ally when I couldn't get on. I felt guilty about it too.

I have been sick in a different way last Monday I had a grand-mal seizure it's been 4 years since the last one. I was just glad Ally was still asleep when it happened.

All of you are in my prayers.

Happy after Thanksgiving everyone!
I didn't eat too much. We had the holiday at my mom's and there was was too much chaos for my Rachel. It took me a few hours to calm her down which included massaging her it seemed every muscle in her body was tensed up. Once I massaged her down she relaxed and went to sleep. She was up today at 3 am. AHhhh. I have had to change her sheets twice in four days one night she took off her poopy pull up and then Saturday she just soaked herself. Gotta love it.
I did take both kids shopping Saturday with my mom and my dad who is in a wheel chair due to recent knee surgery. Despite dealing with his wheel chair it was still a good time. I didn't have much cash so as a treat the kids and I shared a pop and some pretzel stix which were expensive. They didn't seem to mind.
I have been feeling better as of late so I'm thrilled about that.
Jennifer glad you are doing better great to have you back, Georgia glad you had a good Christmas party. Amanada I hope you are hanging in there.
Cathy where are you? I know you are busy I send good karma to you.
Talk to everyone later

Good morning dear friends finall a cooler day has dawned. Have had some shockingly hot days of late.
Have not been very good in the eating department - what with Christmas parties and rushing around taking mum to her appointments Also going through some crazy stuff with Menopause too. Pains, spasms and I think this is why I am having eating frenzies too.
Have to run as mum has another 3 hospital appointments today in preparation for her surgery next week.
Have a good day.

Hi all, Sorry I have been absent, it couldn't be controlled. I couldn't stay signed into the internet at all. I finally gave up after being booted several times. It was my computer, which wouldn't turn on this morning so my husband went and got me an early Christmas gift. It was on sale on base. Glad it was him and not me, I can't stand the stores right now. All of you have been in my prayers though I haven't been here. Ally did the WII Fit Plus today. She enjoyed it and even tried the Yoga which she enjoyed. She likes the obstacle course, so do I. We had a good Thanksgiving, Ally helped me cook. The gravy turned out real good thanks to her. Mine is usually real thin but good flavor. This one was thick and good flavor. Must have been her magical touch. I hope that all of you who celebrate had a good one. I am really enjoying my family right now but missing those in Tucson.
Andi emoticon to all who need them.

Georgia sounds like you had a fantastic time at the party! Good for you.

Amanda, I'm going to pray for you at church this morning. I was pretty sick for a couple of months, from mid September until just recently. I get a combination of allergies, flu, cold, and sinus infections, they all feed into each other, and it makes me very sick. I've been to many doctors for years, and they've done all they can. But I'm feeling much better now, and am looking forward to getting back into my exercise and healthy eating. Please pray for me, for consistency, and to not fall into temptation. Thanks everyone.

Yesterday, I spent the day fishing with my boys at a beautiful spring out in the country. We took a hike while we were there too. Today, I'm hoping to workout with a friend at the gym, but I'll go alone even if she can't go.

wow, Georgia, you take the honors for the first Christmas party of the year...cant believe its that time already...i am having a real difficult time with it all this year as i am so unable to do anything...i cant even drive, turn my head in any direction, look up, cook properly, make my bed, fold laundry, etc....i am so freakin' miserable, but whats worse is that i cant put up any decorations, put up the tree etc for my kiddos, or even wrap presents, ...it seems so unfair sometimes, my being ill affects my kids not just me...
ok 'nuff whining, gotta stop feeling sorry for myself...
Georgia, so glad your party gave you an opportunity to relax, you deserved it...
Jenn, glad you are ready to be back at it again...sometimes we need to take a short break and regroup, but we did miss ya....
Hope everyone has a great week,
hugs and prayers to all

Thanks for the welcome back.

Believe it or not, I haven't gained much weight over the past 2 months. I haven't weighed myself, but my clothes still fit the same, perhaps just a tad tighter, but barely. I made a point not to crazy while I was taking a break. I did eat more than I should this past week though, no so much on Thursday which is Thanksgiving in the USA, but all week due to nervousness about having my own Thanksgiving dinner for my husband's and my family for the first time ever. But it was a sucess! Most of all, everyone was relaxed and content, and the food all came out well.

Now I'm looking forward to getting back into my exercise, and eating healthy, and perhaps dropping some more of this weight.

I'm trying but so many circumstances out of my control are making my life a roller coaster at the moment. To be honest I just want to run away from it all and everyoine but I know I cannot do that. So I just keep running. I will promise tomorrow I will make time for myself. I am going to church after many weeks and I am hoping that will renew my peace and strength.
Thank you for caring. xoxox

Good day everyone. After a much needed break and rest, I'm back to being active on Spark. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with my family and my husband's family over here at our house for the first time ever. It was very successful.

Today, my husband, boys, and I took a very nice hike on a beautiful sunny and mild day.

How is everyone? I'm feeling much better, after having been sick, and then feeling very tired and run down for a while afterwards.

i can sooooo relate...i have three kiddos too and i do a lot of driving with them as its just me at home, no dad...i have used gameboys, dvd players, radios/cd players etc, but sometimes whichever child is off the charts will start singing along to the music too loud or "drumming/stamping/kicking" on the seat/window/other child, etc....what i try to do now is provide three pairs of noise cancelling headphones, so that there is always enough to go round...these headphones allow the overly sensoritized child to chill/relax/tune everyone out, and the headphones also provide a measure of pressure which seems to help too....and at least my other children can block most of it out if one of them is being especially annoying... just a thought....

She is DEFINITELY overstimulated in the car! It has been one of our biggest issues (one of the things that tipped me off something was wrong even before she got diagnosed), especially considering we have a 1/2 hour drive from our house to work/schools and civilization in general, so we do a lot of driving. You know, as I was reading your post, something just hit me. I have a dvd player in my car that has headphones, but they got broken so they kind of lost interest and we quit using it a long time ago, before she even got diagnosed. I definitely think I'll get new ones and try it out. Thanks for the suggestions! I've tried books, hand held games, etc., but then she drops them (or throws them!), then can't reach them in her booster seat, and that starts a whole new can of worms. LOL

Does anything distract your daughter at all?
Mine loves to look at books especially coloring books cause it's only black and white. She humms in the car and screaches too so it drives my son nuts as well. I sometimes will say RACHEL really loud and she stops for a second giving me some peace.
The other thing is maybe she is really overstimulated in the car. Headphones for her might not be a bad idea if she likes music it might distract her enough. I feel for ya honey two kids is a lot but three yikes! Car rides can be the worste too. All I can tell ya is hang in there we all go through it.

Believe me, PORGETTE, I am a definitely a long time member of the block-it-out club. Most of my turmoil is stashed on the inside (which I know isn't healthy, but oh well-LOL). I think it was just a little over the top yesterday and I broke down. Feeling better today, though.

One issue, though, that I have a problem with is, I have no problem ignoring her outbursts. That's commonplace for me now. But when she screams, it'll go on for quite awhile before she loses steam, which I can usually deal with. But it's often in the car.....when I have my two older children with me (11 & 7). My oldest is learning to block it most of the time, but sometimes my 7 year old is in tears with his hands cupped over his ears, listening to her scream. I tried for awhile of actually pulling the car over and I would get out and just stand with her until she was ready to calm down and behave so she would see she's not allowed to do that while I'm driving, but I was stopping WAY too often! Maybe I should have stuck with it longer, but it's difficult when I'm on the way to work or school. I've tried to explain the situation to my older kids, but it's still difficult seeing them upset having to deal with it. Any suggestions for siblings in this age group? I've joked around about having a stash of ear plugs in the car for them. LOL

Snicklefritz I am suggesting you do not give your daughter too much atention when she has these episodes. I remember my son used to do the same when he was younger and I used to try and explain, justify get him to understand it was inappropriate laughter. It made him worse. I became a bit"cold" and used to turn around and walk away when he did this. I told him I don't have to listen to this. It seemed to slow it down a bit. This was my situation I do not know if it will work for you.

Remember you are a fantastic mother do the vey best she can under very different circumstances. You can cry any time you like in the cafe and know that all around have or will experience something similar.

How do you think all the rivers have filled with water. The tears of mothers trying to do their best.

Dee have a fabulous thanksgiving and drive carefully.

To all you darling ladies a fabulous Wednesday.

Amanda - I was at the Mammouth caves when I was eight with my family. I have always wanted to go back. I also have seen Lincoln's birth place and at eight let me tell you that was OH SO THRILLING - NOT!
My parents are historical buffs so the highlight of the vacatino was the caves. I remember it as being so cool. I hope I can take my kids there sometime.

Ok gotta go.

morning/afternoon everyone...
Snicklefritz...we can all relate, honey!!!.....
my oldest two (boys, age 10 and 8) do the hysterical/out of place laughing and sometimes it drives me nuts...they also can flip to crying, throwing themselves on the floor, or lunging at me just as quick, so i have learned to "laugh" with them..even if neither they or I have any idea what they are laughing at..i agree that the sensory side of things as well as frustration/lack of understanding or fear/nervousness can heighten this type of response....Sometimes it seems to help if you just acknowledge their "right' to be different...or at least it does in my situation with my kiddos...hope your evening is better and less traumatic...
Dee...drive safe, have a wonderful reunion with hubby, hope your family Thanksgiving is everything you desire...
Cathy....hope your school day goes well with your gang...I am struggling a bit with my son because i am not so well most days, but he is still learning so hopefully we wont lose too much ground over the next few weeks/months...at least with homeschool i can have some flexibility which helps both he and I...
My middle son has gone on a field trip today to mammoth Cave, a natural landmark here in our area...his special ed teacher has already called me twice because my sweet boy decided to run off and go exploring by himself...not a good idea, but, of course, my son doesnt see it that way...I am really glad his teachers have such patience with him, i would have made a terrible special ed teacher in the public school setting...lol!!(Its like i can do it at home but not for everyone else's kids..lol)
Georgia, hope your day went well...we so love your optimism and bright spirit, as well as your visuals...
hi to everyone else, hope your week is blossoming forth into a fantastic Thanksgiving week...hugs to all

I totally understand the roller coaster I think we all do.
My Rachel who is six frequently laughs for no reason like she just heard the funniest thing ever. I figure it's her sensory thing she know something is funny but couldn't focus at that moment to laugh.
Sometimes she will screach and humm and I will say Rachel ENOUGH! She gets it. Last night she managed to take her pull up off, in tact, with her pajama bottoms still on. UH HARRY HOUDINI?
Don't worry about feeling guilty you did what you could do you were there. You keep her from harm, you made sure she got to school, she has a home and people who love her that is all you can do.
I play this game with Rachel I will point to myself and say I and then cross my heart, love and point to her and say you. Then I point to her and say you, cross her heart love and point to me and say two and hold two of her fingers up. She laughs and smiles and sometimes she doesn't pay attention at all. I have been doing this with her for years. Just last week she came up to be during supper and did it to me. I almost fell over. She hasn't done it since but she knows it how cool is that.

So no matter how much you think you can't reach your daughter believe me you do and she knows you love her.

So Chin up no more tears, suck in that gut, ok lip.

Came to get a little comfort at the cafe this morning. Had a very rough morning with my precious daughter. For 2 hours this morning I was riding her roller coaster of laughing then screaming laughing then screaming. Got her dropped off at school then finally broke down in tears 5 minutes from home overwhelmed with the feeling of guilt for not knowing what to do. Came home and put it in perspective when I read a sparkfriend's post about finding happiness and contentment with what your life is and what you have, rather than becoming resentful and negative dwelling on the "what ifs" of life.

Amy it ios alwaays good to talk to other parents of like kind children you learn so much. Yesterday I had coffee with my god daughter and she has a son who is downs syndrome but very high maintenance. We joined another couple who just happen to be customers of mine and they have a downs syndrome boy too and they gave her heaps of advice. It was so good for her.

I hope you get the funding. Yes tough love is hard but it works. I know I have used it many many times.

To everyone a good day and good health and big hugs.
Love you all you are so precious to me.

Morning all, although it's not a great morning.
Yesterday was good so I took advantage of feeling good and cleaned out my car from all the childrens leavings and then my hubby and I did yard work. I am not paying for that but I had to take care of it.
I cannot live my life in a bubble right.
Amanda you and I are much alike.
Saturday I met this woman at Rachel's horseback and her daughter is mildly retarded with autistic tendencies. I talked to this woman about all kinds of things including potty training. She said her daughter got potty trained at 5 by the preschool they refused to let her wear pullups and made her clean herself up everytime she messed herself. I guess it was hard to go through but it worked. I was kind of horrified but admitted sometimes tough love is necessary. This woman also told me about a group of parents who meet and have pizza and play games who all have children who are autistic. They also allow the siblings to come too. She told me of a website I can check into that provides funds for therapy and it has no income requirements. My hubby and I make to much for most programs. IT's funny really I guess we aren't allowed two cars, day care bills, college loan bills etc. See if we didn't have those we wouldn't be seeking funding. DUh right!
Anyway this woman will be at horseback this week too so I can pick her brain for more stuff. I am kind of excited.
I also got to drive a big tractor over the weekend. My dad is working on a farm tilling fields and I took the kids out to see him so he let me drive this big monster. It was kind of cool actually I could definitely enjoy farming, no phones, faxes, computers, kids, just me and the dirt.
So onto another day. Cathy you hang in there you are an inspiration to me daily and I love hearing from you. So chin up chest in tight ok not too tight.
Georgia I am so happy about your son's engagement how cool is that.
Amanda hang tough honey your suffering has gone on way to long and I know God's got big plan to get you out of this valley soon.

Gotta get work all love you.

Amy

Good morning dear ladies and to day I think we shall just drag Amand first to the cafe and we shall all have a group hug to start with then we shall sit on the peaceful balcony and look at the sea. Close your eyes and listen to the surf rolling in to the beach. At thee same time ypu can hear the leaves of the palm trees whistling and rutling with the lovely balmy breeze blowing through.
If you like have a small nap and enjoy these few peaceful moments. In a while we shall get a cup of choice and go to the back gardens and watch Cathy's puppies frolic in the puppy garden. If we are lucky we should be laughing at there antics and we all know laughter is the best medicine.

Our children although are so clever and very smart will never quite fit into the everyday mould. Therefore we do our best up to a point and then even though we are there for them we have to let them make the choices even when we know they are not the best. There moods are another thing we can only try and guide thrm through.

Prayers to you all.

Good Morning Dear Friends!

I am so sorry I have been MIA. I have just been so busy and so down. I just have such a hard time dealing with all the stress lately.

Welcome to our wonderful new members! So glad to have you and look forward to getting to know you better and sharing with you.

Marilyn, your words hit me square on! My 16 year old couldn't handle school. He is so very bright and starts out having great aspirations and then is discouraged when he learns there is more to school then just what "he wants" or "deems necessary" to do. I homeschool him which is much better for him and he sees that, but it is still very challenging. He is very combative with me these days and it isn't any fun. Thanks so much for your honesty...it really helps all of us!

Amanda I really want you to think about YOU! You need to take care of yourself dear friend! You want to be there for your kids and so you need to take it easy so that in the long run you will be there 100 percent for your kids. We are all doing a group gang up on you to take it easy!! LOL Love ya friend! I am so praying for you and these procedures that they will work!! You deserve it!! You are such a wonderful sweet mom and do so much! You are so strong!!

Georgia, as always your paint such a beautiful picture of where I would like to be!! Peace. Maybe one day. My hubby actually had a few days off in a row and that was wonderful. He got up with the pups and kids which was a wonderful break!! I love those pups and so enjoy our morning soccer together, but I really needed to have the break. Ahhh! I am so happy for you and for your son and his fiance! I will be praying for all!!

Amy, you are a very beautiful sweet woman!! And you are a great, great momma!! Your kids are so blessed to have you!! You always work so hard and do so (or too) much!! Take care of yourself! Your surgery is almost here! YAY! I am praying for you for strength and for you to take it easy until and after the surgery! Also praying for NO MORE PAIN!!

I am praying for everyone and hoping you have a wonderful peaceful day today...Georgia you have a wonderful night!

Hugs to everyone!! Cathy

I'm reading the team posts and remembering. My son, now nearly 21, is a sweet, bright, funny and talented young man. Every kid he brings home is a bit weird in his or her own way, but, I'm just glad he's figured out a way to have friends. Most of them are wonderful kids. Last sunday, he totalled his car. The second one within one year. (First one not his fault.) Thankfully, the folks in the other car escaped pretty much OK, except for whiplash (one passenger). Tommy was trying to adjust the radio, and clearly didn't attend for a second. Sooooo, off for another car for our college son. Of course, he wants to make video games for a living, like many other kids with Aspergers. He aces all the tech courses he takes, but the academic ones, required even for BA programs in Video Game Technology, are troublesome for him. Too much abstract material that takes too much time to process. He is discouraged when looking at the few colleges that offer his major area of study, as they all require courses in English, Psychology, Rhetoric, Philosophy, etc. This whole area of helping people this age is truly LACKING, ladies. And we all arrive there at one point or another. I'm a licenced clinical social worker and I've done my best to case manage my own son up till this point. But when there's a scarcity of services, I can't do anything else but try to create them myself, piecemeal. There are a few services here in CT, but they're expensive! And really RARE. My heart's breaking for my boy, because he's truly talented in this area. But, I guess some typically developing kid who excels in all the academics will win the spot again. Boy, I'm sounding a bit angry now, but I gotta let it out.

Marilyn

hi georgia and everyone...i love the sound of silence too but i dont get to hear it too often..lol!!
I have been very dizzy today but the labyrinthectomy has deadened/killed my nerves in the one ear so while I still get dizzy/off kilter/disoriented, I dont get that same level of knock-down nausea and vomiting...yeah!!...so while i feel a little weird, I was able to work in the yard with my kids for a while today raking/bagging leaves...of course, my doctor would be mad at me as i am supposed to still be taking it easy, but he obviously doesnt have kids and no physically present support...lol!!
Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday....and a great week...

Good morning ladies can you hear the silence. Sunday morning and only a few birds making their noise. Overall complete and utter silence. Oh Ilove this time of morning when everyone is still asleep and all is quiet.

Have a good day.

Good morning ladies and what a glorious morning - the sun is shining (hot one coming) and the birds are singing, a soft breeze is blowing and I have been fior a walk.
Good start to a Saturday.

Hope you are all well.

My aspie has become engaged to his girlfriend. I am happy for them - might just be the responsibility he needs.

have a good day

Oh Amy and Amand even more I wish I was close by so I could help you with your times afrter the surgery.
We mothers are so resiliant. We shall find a way to get through. I shall pray that the Good Lord sends you angels to help you through the trying times.

Amy you look fine in your photo just a typical mum having fun with her children. Makeup isn't everything in the world it is just camouflage to makes us feel differently about ourselves.

We are all having issues with excess weight at the moment. On my weigh in on Tuesday night I put on over 4 pounds in one week. Try and figure that out seeing ZI am walking and trying hard. Oh well back to the drawihng board.

I think today we should pack it all in and just come to the cafe and sit quietly in our corners and be pampered.

Enjoy the few minutes of peace.

Love you all

Amy....i see a blonde haired momma who has a beautiful little girl on her lap...and you are right, none of the kids will sit and think of us as anything other than "mom"...please dont feel down over your abilities with teenagers..they are very strange/particular creatures who heed no-one yet can still charm us to death when they so desire...very complex...no-one can control 'em....lol!!! I admire you doing what you do, i usually help with our Wednesday night AWANA ministries, but with my health issues i have been unable to fully commit, i miss it though!!I cant even do our coffee bar on Sundayts any more due to dizzy spells....i look forward to the day i can get back to it all...
I pray for your health every day Amy, i so hope the surgery will bring you relief when it happens in December...my next surgery is in February, I will not be able to do ANY physical activity at all afterwards (no bend, carry, lift, stretch, twist, exercise etc...no hollering/raising my voice, no showers etc for 4-7 WEEKS....how am i supposed to take care of my kiddos like that, eh?plus they said i will be sick and dizzy for up to a few months afterwards as my ear/head heals)....I am not looking forward to this next one as i get to have my head shaved and have my skull drilled, but if it allows me to experience some normalcy again (eventually, anyway)I will be happy...its never nice though to go through all the pain, so i really hope you can get the pain removed when your surgery is done....bless you hon, you are a trooper!!!
Georgia, thankyou for your kind words....you are a good and gentle person, i appreciate having you as a friend...
Dee..how very cool about your son...my youngest, my daughter, has been tested and the results show she is between 1.5 and 2 gerades above level in all areas....i am in the process of discussing options for her, as she is bored to death right now in her presnt grade/level...the school system we are in doesnt provide gifted and talented (GAT) support services unless a child measures two grade points above current level in all areas, so i get a little frustrated sometimnes with it all...i am asking the school to consider transitioning Ayiana into 3rd grade after christmas, but i am sure they wont allow it...i hope you can get what your sons needs/wants...
Cathy....slow down, dont over do it and make yourself ill...take some YOU time, ok?
Andi, Lisa, Snicklefritz, Dee, everyone else...hugs, prayers,

Amanda you poor dear that is awful.
Mom's never get a break do they. The stomach flu has been running rampart up here in Toledo, Ohio and somehow we passed to you all the way down in Kentucky how is that?
I feel for ya taking care of kids while in any sort of pain is awful and not being able to yell either. I yell sometimes out of frustration and then feel bad so maybe it's better.
I am in charge of our Wednesday night teen bible study at my church. Last night I had no helper with fifteen teens. I have been doing this series on high school and the year book, popularity etc. I like it but the teens were so awful last night. They didn't listen they were screwing around, they were disrespectful and I was no going to scream I refused. I think they are old enough now to know the proper way to act. What's bad is my friend who is really good at controling them was going to help me but I asked her not to because she takes over the class when she is there and I also feel she is too hard on them. So now I feel like a fool cause I couldn't control them at all. My hubby says I am too hard on myself. Maybe I am but I felt like such a failure last night. So say some prayers for me we are off next week then in Dec we start an Advent series. I hope I can teach them better.

Anyway enough whining my affairs are paultry at best compared to poor Amanda.
hang in there

Love ya

hi ladies...its almost 01:00am and i am trying to finally relax, although i am in considerable discomfort at this point...a little while ago, while i was settling down to sleep, my Aspie suddenly jumped up from bed (all the kiddos usually end up in my bedroom most nights), ran towards my bathroom, stopped halfway there and started vomiting like his life depended on it...all over my carpets....then he continued into my bathroom and finished covering my floors in there with vomit...I jumped up out of bed to try and help him get to the bathroom, got a massive dizzy attack and keeled over onto the floor, hitting the side of my head hard against my dresser on the way down...i somehow managed to right myself and helped my son to the toilet, then grabbed floor and carpet cleaner ready to clean up...suddenly my middle child sat bolt upright in my bed and yelled "mommy I'm peeing, its getting onto your bed, i cant stop it coming out"....so then i was trying to grab him out of my bed, get him to the other bathroom acroos the other side of my house....meanwhile, my Aspie is hollering at me to help him, my ear/head is killing me, and my youngest (my daughter) wakes up and asks if its time to get up for school, and asks if she can she have something to eat...lol!!! So, how was everyone else's evening?..lol...seriously, i am a hurting gal right now, cos when i hit my head it got my good ear (or at least the one that i hadnt had surgery on yet!!), so i am feeling the effects of the past couple of hours.....
I hope everyone has a good Thursday...hugs and prayers...

Good morning ladies and great to read about some of the positives happening in your lives.
I am tired from too much work and not enough rest but such is life and I should not complain.
The heat probably has alot to do with it too.
I have hired someone new at work so hopefully once she is trained up she will take some of the pressure off.
Have a wonderful Thursday - it is my late shift tonight.

Drink lots of water and move where possible.

Hello everyone!
Phew it took me awhile to catch up. Work has been so crazy lately and with no computer at home yet I have to rely on my work one to catch up.
My son got straight A's this quarter and has been recommended for gift school testing. It kind of scares me I don't want to put pressure on him.
My baby Rachel is doing really good all in all except for the every annoying potty training. I also was able to finaly get her into a swim therapy class it's 1/2 hour a week but only $80 for six months. I know it's not a lot but combined with her horse back I hope it will help.
My illness has been awful and last week I had stomach flu on top of it and that was horrible. Still I trudge on what choice to I have right. I am happy though I have my family and friends and my Jesus to help me. Ok you can share Jesus too.
Under a month til my surgery hooray.
Amanda I am glad you finally had your surgery I will pray it works.
Cathy I am so sorry about your son hugs and prayers for you dear friend. We love ya here and are all pulling for ya.
Lisa good for you and the specialist and the meds I haven't been down that road yet but I am grateful someone has so I can tap into you when I need to.
Andi - I am with ya on the depression sometimes the cold does that chin up. I am on a small dose of an antidepressent and while i hate it I could not make it without.
Dee I am happy for you on yours sons accomplishments

Ok anyone else I forgot I am sorry I have to go.
Take care hang in there.

Love ya all
Amy

Hi Everyone, sorry I've been MIA....
I have to get ready for work so will read and catch later today.

Had a meeting at school last night that was called Perspectives. It was a panel discussion with parents, students, and administrators about dealing with autism spectrum issues. It was very informative and I saw my ds in the two students that were there. So there is hope for my ds' future, but it also brought home so many issues that I need to discuss with dh and school. All in all it was great to hear everyone's perspective and especially how the students have been dealing with it as well.

Hope you all have a GREAT WEEK!
