I decided to do the 5K, so I'll see you ladies there! My goal is to jog it, and I have 2 months (exactly) to build up to jogging for that long. If not, I can always walk some of it. My co-worker is signing up too... I'm excited!

I'm thinking of doing the LB marathon also, but I can't decide whether to do the 5k or the half-marathon, walking of course. I wish there was a 10k... the 5k seems a little short and the half-marathon seems so long! Still thinking about it ;-)

Eve, I just registered for the L.B. Marathon, I signed up for the 5K run/walk. Did you know you can pick a cause to walk for from a list they provide or you can write in your own charity? I know it's important to you to "Walk for a Cause." Just an FYI, no pressure.

I'm up for both. A 5K is less than the 4 mile walk we do on Sundays. I'm doing the L.B. one mainly because it is the 25th anniversary and I think it will be fun to be part of that, plus my future daughter-in-law is running the 1/2 marathon.

The walk to benefit crime survivors is October 10th. Do people want to do both? While the Long Beach would be fun - I'd rather walk for a charity. It is walking so we could do both....

As many of you may know the Long Beach Marathon is October 11, 2009. It is a big deal this year as it is the 25th anniversary of the race. I'm thinking of doing the 5K, but walking. Is anyone interested in joining in? It is important to register soon. Here is the link.
