Hello Corona Spark Team,
I've been sharing & teaching tips since 2009 in the Greater Corona Valley region. Every day that a question or thought-provoking reply comes to my attention, I will post a new tip.
Today's tip #1 re: family members not on the same page
When you're on a weight reduction journey, and someone else in your family or household has cravings that are on your "off-limits" list, please ask them to support your efforts by keeping their "treats" in a separate area, out of your line of site and away from easy reach. For example, they could store these items in their car trunk or at least in the garage, where you're less likely to venture "by accident" past those foods that like to call your name.
Today's tip #2 re: Fitness Buddies
You'll find it easier to schedule a workout, and less likely to skip it, if you have a regular day or days you agree to meet at least TWO others at your designated starting point. By knowing someone else is counting on you, it holds you accountable. It also keeps them in check. I call this a win-win.
My thanks to MarathonMom26.2 for being the example in this tip.

I tracked, tracked and tracked some more. It's like financial planning. Keep a diary of what you spend and you will see where all your money goes. The concept is the same with food. How much do we really eat throughout the day. Did we drink enough water, have to many chips, etc... Portion control is key! Good luck!
I follow the sparkpeople fitness plan set up for me. The strength training combo cardio helps me stay on track and know what to expect the coming days. I also have been switching up my workouts so I don't get bored.
I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.
Please post any suggestions that you can share with others that has helped you along your weight loss journey!
